I think everyone knew from the day he transferred that he'd never be more than a backup at A&M barring an injury from someone ahead of him.
He would've probably been a backup at LSU this year also though.

Got to be the dumbest QB to ever wear the purple and gold. Not for his play, for that absolutely bizarre transfer. Anyone with a brain knee without a shadow of a doubt he wouldn’t be the starter at aTm. I didn’t know he’s be third string necessarily.
If he stays at LSU, Daniels likely doesn’t transfer in and he starts the spring as the starter and puts himself in a much much better position to start at LSU.
I’d much rather have Daniels by far, so it worked out for LSU. But what in the honest hell was that kid thinking??

There was chatter going around that Kelly really did not what a left-handed QB. Not sure how true that is

It was so cool of Max to transfer before the bowl game, leaving us with zero QBs, after we started him the entire season.

I’d imagine the only reason he transferred was they really wanted his brother. So they offered him a spot to compete to make the family happy
