There should be some packages worked in for this kid he has the best running ability out the 3 and he has the size to run at 6’5 230+.

Was kinda disappointed we went into “run out the clock” mode on his drive.
Would have liked to see him actually run the offense and make a few throws like Brennan did in garbage time last year.

What's hilarious is some of yall saying Finley should start over Brennan because "he has shown the ability to run". Max Johnson is 10000x the runner Brennan or Finley is, but did he start? Nope.
Any rational coach or human being would list this as the QB pecking order right now.
1. Brennan
2. Finley
3. Johnson
Just be happy we have a good back up plan if Brennan isn't 100%.

There is a player management issue that can be helped here. Even if Finley is your #2, you bring Johnson in on some designed run/decoy plays to keep him happy.

I dont really think he's anymore mobile than Brennan. He had some good runs last night but lets remember that South Carolina had no film of him personally or LSU running the quarterback this season period.
Also the offensive line played lights out.

This is right in my mind.
I dont think Finley gives you much more athleticism in the quarterback running game than Brennan does plus you dont want someone built like Finley taking a ton of hits in my opinion.

Brennan can chunk it but since his injury, opponents know he is never going to be a run threat. TJ or Max will be run dangerous.

I didn't realize he was that damn big. Man, he runs excellent for a dude that size. He was fast and instinctive on the few runs he had.
