That's sounds awesome...4 straight years starting a Freshman QB.

Why would Jake Johnson not want to attend LSU any longer,

probably because the boys are doing what daddy tells them too, way too much parent interference going on, hell, way too much of everything except working your arse off at practice and getting the job done on the field going on these days

The shocking minimal progress that Max showed this season is a stark indictment of the coaching staff. Wasn't anybody coaching the QBs?

That being said, Max Johnson never showed that he could be a consistent difference-maker in the SEC.

In college football, quarterbacks are everything. How many times were we outplayed at the QB position?

Max may go on to be somebody's No. 1 QB, but it won't be for a top-level program. He has too many bad habits. And I'd be curious to hear the story he tells recruiters about why he left LSU four weeks before its bowl game.

My hunch is that Kelly told him that LSU would be bringing in a top transfer QB, and Johnson saw the handwriting on the wall. The timing of it has a lot of "Dad" stamped on it. He's going to take his two Johnson boys and play somewhere where they "appreciate" them.

I say we just #SwipeLeft and move on.

'He actually regressed this year which don't make sense, I could see maybe blaming poots but his father was an NFL Superbowl winning QB. You think he would get some coaching from him.'
Sometimes the problem with these prima donnas is too much coaching from too many opposing viewpoints.

I think he’s a decent QB. I don’t think the play calling, lack of running game, or the OL did him any favors. I will not miss wasting 6-10 seconds just to take a sack.

I wish him luck wherever he goes unless they play LSU.

Him holding the ball for 6 seconds made me want to pull my hair out. It never got better all season. Zero internal timer.

Yeah every pass attempt looked like a strip sack just waiting to happen b/w his lack of pocket awareness and slow wind up.

This is the direct result of having a shite offensive coordinator.
