and then the guys in front of us have all talked about dropping our season tix if they run it back. I just don't see how you can see the state its in now and think that is acceptable. Wade or not its time to do something else.
Just look at it from a pure financial perspective.
lower level sideline season tickets cost between $800 - $1,100. Actual attendance under McMahon is well below 50% of capacity. Realistically, LSU is averaging about 25% - 30% capacity....at best. That will somehow get WORSE if MM is retained. It also means there are a ton of both empty seats and really cheap tickets available on the secondary market. It's not hard to find tickets for $5 - $7 just before gametime. Thus, a person could legitimately go to every home game (18) and sit in those same lower level seats for $150 - $200. That being the case, why would you pay 4x, 5x, 6x, more for the same product?
That's why I canceled mine. I sat in far better seats this year than my season tickets for FAR less than my season tickets cost.

The fans are POSs you are supposed to be supporting the players with the LSU across their chests not the coach.Im sure recruiting has been great because when they come to a game and see the great support the fans have for the players they will commit on site.A recruit comes to the PMAC and there’s 3000 people there and then go to ALA,KEN,UT, ETC with 10000 + they aren’t motivated to go elsewhere. Is MM a good coach ,far from it but the fans haven’t done their part either.

How is he a POS?
He legitimately is not. He's a pretty good dude. But he's a mid-major coach. And at this point, everyone knows it. It's time for him to go.
I'd venture to believe he makes the NCAA tourney again...At a small school somewhere.

I got six season tickets and will not renew if McMahon is the coach next season. And I know a boat load of others that will do the same!

Cincinnati fires Wes Miller who had a 44% conference winning record. Twenty percentage points higher than McMahon. Add Cincinnati to the growing list of programs that actually have standards for their men’s basketball program.
LSU continues to twist in the wind.

I am not a fairweather fan. I go to all games, and even the open practice. you losers are barely fans.
The same ones that bitch about players being tied to coaches and not the school and transferring or committing elsewhere? The story is different when it comes to them and their emotions

haven't watched a game in several seasons tbh. it's a bad product.

I've been a season ticket holder for nearly 30 years. Every time attitudes such as yours pops (and it will if McMahon is kept on) I get an opportunity to upgrade my seats. It worked last year, too. I've been in the lower bowl seats for about half of the time I've been a season ticket holder.

I think the longer you hear nothing, the better the chances are LSU will hire Wade.
McMahon just finished he second straight losing season and 3 horrible season in 4 years (with the one "good" season not really being good). Thus, from the outside it seems very reasonable to think LSU would make a coaching change. The fans (to the extent there are any left) want to know if LSU is going to end this waste of time or keep it going. If the latter, then LSU would likely come out and say so...just like last year when a story was blasted out that MM was staying (with BS NIL statement as cover)
If LSU is getting rid of MM but not pursuing Wade, then there is no reason to delay getting rid of MM. New hires are already being made now and that will quickly escalate next week as teams are eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. Remember, Murray St was eliminated on a Saturday in 2022. McMahon was announced as LSU's HC two days later.
IMO, there are two different scenarios that could be taking place.
1. LSU is still debating whether to keep MM. That seems beyond ridiculous given LSU knew the season had gone to shite before the end of January. It that "analysis" is still taking place, the WTF was the department doing for 1.5 months?
2. There is a back-channel agreement/commitment with Wade and LSU is not "opening" the job at least until NC State's season is over out of respect to Wade. That way, Wade can continue to say "the LSU job is not open, so why are you asking me about a job that isn't open?"
Of course, I guess option 3 could be to say nothing, maintain the status quo, and hope LSU fans might forget LSU even has a basketball program....which, at this point, is plausible.

Of course. It is a buy low theory. But here the deal. You will still be able to buy low even if MM is fired. That's why I canceled mine before this season. I save hundreds of dollars and can just buy the same seats back (or close to it) when LSU hires a new coach. I did that in the offseason before Jones's last year. I knew it would be a useless lame duck year with no interest (If you watch enough basketball you know what bad basketball looks like). Wade was hired and I repurchased BETTER seats.
No use to spend the money just to "hold" the seats until a coaching change is made when I can just wait until the change is made to repurchase. I'll buy back in when MM is let go.

Good post. I hope you’re right re: the silence and I hope it is option 2.

Doesn't McMahon's buyout decrease April 1? If so, in that regard, he's still going to be the coach for 19 more days.
Let's assume NC State wins its first game and loses its second game in the NCAA tournament. That gets us to the weekend of March 21-22 and leaves 10 or so more days before McMahon would be fired.
NC State would have to pull off another Final Four run to still be playing on April 1.
Unless LSU announces that it's going to run it back with McMahon in 2026-27, it's possible we won't hear anything for 3 more weeks. Certainly, once NC State is eliminated from the NCAA tournament, the rumors will start to ramp up one way or another.

Very much so
But I think after NC State loses you'll see some action. NC State is going want assurance Wade isn't leaving because, if so, they want to get their coaching search going ASAP. For their part, LSU is likely not going to remain silent regardless of what they plan to do. MM and his staff aren't going to want to continue working (recruiting) with no assurance they are returning. They will push LSU to say "either fire us so we know where we stand and can plan accordingly, or let us know we are coming back."

My thoughts EXACTLY.
And Circle K, from reading your posts, you and I agree on a lot.
Relax homie, I'm almost positive Wade will be our HC in the next 2-3 weeks.

Yep, people need to quit making it so personal. You can separate the professional and personal life. He's still a decent dude, but just has not delivered as a coach at all and it's getting worse.
Could not agree more. He has also handled the last few weeks with class. He’s answered the tough questions without a ton of excuses or blame.
I really hope he succeeds at his next stop, he just wasn’t a good fit here.
