Listening to AFR. A caller just called in and asked Matt which coaches are on the chopping block. He said Pelini is for sure gone and that he wouldn’t be surprised if everyone is on the chopping block sans Raymond.

Maybe Vol is in to something. Anyways. 2020 cannot end soon enough. frick this year.

Probably how it should be. Raymond is probably the only coach we have that has proved his worth long term.

People here want him gone apparently but my point is he gets the benefit of the doubt. He has shown for years he is an elite CB coach, but he’s having one bad season this year. Most of the other coaches don’t have an elite resume to fall back on as Raymond does. He has always been solid and then Bo came and DBU is terrible, so you can put the 2 and 2 together.

no doubt pelini is gone. these is a historically awful LSU defense. he still has to go against florida and ole miss, so it's only gonna get worse.

Moscona literally said on whiskey and wine a few games ago that Pelini isn't going anywhere. Way to be consistent Matt.

Raymond, Joseph and Faulk are all 100% safe. Those guys are too important to recruiting to lose and Faulk is an LSU legend in his first year. The rest are in danger.

We should just fire the entire staff and go hire Coastal Carolina's staff as a package deal or something

Look at what they're doing with limited resources. Now imagine a group of young, hungry coaches with LSU's resources.

Couldn't be any worse, right?

I'm only partially kidding..

Touché. As bad as the safety play has been this year, I hope we can retain Busch as well. He’s an elite recruiter and the main guy that recruited Burrow here. The CB play has been bad as well and I don’t think it’s a reflection of Raymond and Busch more so it’s a reflection of how fricking clueless and dumb Bo is.

Mickey Joseph is only on staff for recruiting purposes. I don’t think he’s that great of coach but I guess he’s not horrible either.

That's funny considering the degree of hate that's been tossed at Mickey on tRant. Up until 2019 he was regularly discussed as a weak link.

I really appreciate Raymond and think Busch has helped recruiting, but how is their coaching NOT implicated in these historic BUSTS among our DB's that puts us ranked 126th in plays over 40 yds?
If we are going to hold folks accountable, how can we play favorites?

Fire Linehan after Nussmeier signs, Steve E to retire, Calloway to OC, bring in Munoz for QB coach and passing game coordinator just to make sure we get some Joe Brady system folks back in there.

Then just can Pelini and pay out the arse for an elite DC. Currently we're paying out the arse, but it's for this dumbfrick.

Let’s be honest. Joseph was brought in to calm down the NO HS coaches after the Juluke fiasco.

Joseph is there to recruit. The best the WRs have ever looked was last year and that was with Brady holding his hand. I wish LSU had more coaches that did both at a high level.

I don't think they're without blame, but it's far less than Pelini. They've shown, especially Raymond, to be very good coaches.

The DC has to teach his scheme to the position coaches too. And has to make the right calls and installments each week. The best DB coach on Earth couldn't make up for a completely lost defensive coordinator.

Because when have the DBs and safeties ever been this bad under Raymond and Busch? I’ll answer the question, they haven’t. On top of that they are both elite recruiters.

Cregg’s arse needs to be gone a long arse time ago is all I know. Not only is he a complete shite recruiter, he clearly isn’t good at developing o lineman either. Rosenthal, Hines, Ingram and Deculus have all regressed and haven’t gotten better.

And he’s had a bad year too.
