It says a lot when all the LSU players are in the X2 promo videos from Marucci but they still use the CatX or even the Cat8 in the game.

Braxxley is pumped cause I got one on preorder. His Cat X from last october is dead and he needs some pop for next month’s 7u world series.

bats need to be broken in
I believe the testing shows that aluminum bats perform better over time so next season you will likely see more players using the CATX2

Not really the case with aluminum bats. Composite bats do have a history of getting much hotter the longer they are used aluminum bats are basically broken in at 300 swings.

The real joke is people think these bats drastically change from year to year and are worth the $400 price tag

Composites are always the best right before they bust.

opposite.

alloy bats are hottest directly out the wrapper and that goes for the 2 piece hybrid bats like the Catx2 connect.

composite bat get hotter until the moment they break.

and of course it wasnt a good review. Mariucci hybrid and composite bats are way too stiff. but its bbcor, so not a big difference between the bats other than swing weight MOI and sweet spot size.

BBCOR is a different animal. Most people are used to the high exit velos of composites. Typically when it comes close to the CWS, you'll see the companies come out with their new bats. The new Atlas is out and I'm sure you'll see some teams swinging it over the next few weekends.

Top 3 BBCOR bats.

Last I check Bear Jones hit a 479 ft home run with a Murucci bat.

Pretty sure Jones swung the Cat X2 for about 5 games and switched back to the Car X

The entire team has tested the X2 and that's exactly why some don't use it and some do.

Travinksi been switching bats like crazy. He swung an old Cat 7 most of last year. I believe he was using a Cat 8 this weekend.

Most of these guys it is a comfort and psychological thing.

People love Marucci because it is a Louisiana company and its affiliation with LSU and multiple MLB guys. I'm still an Easton/Rawlings/LS guy when it comes to bats and gloves.

If the bats are the sole factor for a few mph per hit ball (equaling more distance) then at what point does LSU choose the best bats over its ties to Marucci?

To put things into perspective White's HR swing vs SCe that got robbed in the 9th undoubtedly would have gone out and been a walkoff with the latter bats he reviewed

Marucci is the hottest bat company in the world right now for a reason. The NCAA HR leader swings Marucci. Nearly 50% of big leaguers swing Marucci/Victus. Not like they are some small operation out of BR anymore.
