Well the eyeball test was invented solely for Bama and is only ever applied to Bama. It's used only when things like record or strength of schedule don't favor Bama.

Oh, I'm fully aware. ESPN will take a 9-3 Bama over others. "I know it's the '78 Steelers, but you're giving Nick Saban 2 weeks to prepare."
Then they proceed to lose because "they beat themselves", "because of the officials" or "they didn't wanna be in that game."

My bad.. Mark May was saying that about LSU. I wasn't clear on that. I think May is usually fair whether he's for or against the tigers

1. Ohio St - the team to beat with JTB at QB.

2. Clemson - playing at a high level right now, with over ND best of any contender.

3. LSU - UF is the second best win of the contenders, special teams prevents me from giving them the 2-seed.

4. Michigan St - because the Big 12 trio are yet to play a team close to being ranked, but they will soon. Can't really justify any particular team here.

LSU would have won that game 65-0. Miami now is perhaps the most screwed up team in the country. Their quarterback is the worst in the FBS, by far, and the players have mailed it in and are making a statement to get Al Golden out of there.

Robert smith is always slobbin that gump nob.. 5 turnovers and they only lost by 6 has come out of his mouth about 100xs. I'm thinking this dude is a joke. As if ole miss didn't have anything to do with that.

And Robert Smith right next to him didn't even have LSU in his top 4, had a 1 loss Bama instead

He thinks Bama is better. No crime there. Bama gets to prove it on the field in Tuscaloosa. LSU has not beat Ole Miss either.

IMO: Harris is not all that impressive. He is going to have to be better than he was vs Western Ky to beat Bama. Period.
Bama will stack the box and their guys are bigger than W KY's.
They will get in Harris's grill, too.

After 2011, nothing surprises me when it comes to Bama's rankings anymore

They were singing bama love in 2011 that when we beat them at their place it was a fluke so they were kept close so they could get a second try. You think if we lose over there and win out while they win the SECC we would be given a second chance? In your dreams.

As soon as 9-6 was over, the pundits start talking of a rematch. They'd say "well, Okie St has to beat Oklahoma to pass up Bama" and then when it happened, suddenly the nonsense eyeball test was the new talking point. Michigan in the exact same situation in 2006 didn't get the eyeball test rematch.

And before the game the media also said that a rematch would likely only happen if we were to lose a close one being the away team. That reversed immediately after the game .

2011- bcs got it right period. As hard as it is to say and okie state just had to beat Iowa state.. Ppl who still talk about Harris see above idiot hasn't seen him play. No turnovers csn throw from pocket or on the run. And we heard how UF would do what everyone is saying bama is gonna do. I think LF will be on a mission. This kid and our oline (who is by far the best bama has seen) will not be denied. If we lose it won't be because of fournette. I think we win 33-24. LF rushes for 175 and Harris has 300 total yards. Coker throws 2 picks

Alabama had an easier road in the SEC and no non-conference schedule to speak of. No way LSU gets in if the roles are reversed.

LMAO. You don't even try to be subtle about it do you....you just find the most shiny hook you can find, and throw it out there. If I thought you were serious....words cannot describe the ignorance level you would need to have. BH is now the top graded qb out of the SEC in terms of the draft....has not thrown an interception this year....and has averaged close to 250 yards per game over his last three games.....I HOPE like Hell Bama stacks the box....they will pay a steep price. Of course, if they don't stack it, they will pay a steep price there too. Either way, bama fricked....and you are going to be crying.
