One stupid take might not make him retard but wanting to start Skenes or Floyd vs a horrendous Tulane team makes one pretty close to being someone that should be ignored.

Money is an interesting idea, but if he runs into trouble early, you start to tax the bullpen, unless Hurd is the bullpen guy you bring in, but then you risk him being spent for a start later.

I'd honestly start Money and save Hurd. You won't run into control issues with Money. Just throw strikes and make them hit him. Tulane is not good enough to keep hitting into gaps and they certainly aren't going to outpace LSU here.

I didn’t see it but I can’t think of any logical reasoning to start Skenes vs a 19-40 team or any four seed.
The idea would only make sense at all if you have a lights out 1 and 1a guy. Even then I’d hold both and use to close out in 3.
I’m guessing his argument is Tulane is hot, they really just won a tourny and their ace sucks.

I haven’t seen or read the article but there is logic in giving Skenes an outing with possibly less stressful innings than he has been facing. Like it or not the last 5 teams we faced have been nicking him. Arkansas was all over him. It’s a long grind and the stats are starting to show that teams are figuring out how to get to his pitches. They are doing their best to not swing at anything but fastballs. Tulane won’t have the luxury to sit on one pitch.

Well, he doesn't recognize that LSU is very vulnerable behind Skenes.
Everyone is talking about the 40 loss Tulane aspect of this. But, just as important is LSU's absolute need to have Skenes in game 2 vs Oregon State.
Anyone who has watched LSU knows this. This guy isn't up to speed.

He probably thinking Floyd will have to beat Oregon ST. To get to them you have to beat a Tulane teams whose record is bad but is playing really well. Skenes beats Tulane, floyd either wins Saturday and Hurd pitches Sunday. If you have to play winner take all on Monday, you have skenes maybe an inning or 2. That’s the thinking right or wrong,
