I know most of you think this is a no brainer because you are blinded by your LSU fandom, but as strong as the program has been, it is not the end all be all of opportunities nor is Baton Rouge that great of city anymore.

I loved BR growing up most of my life there, especially near LSU, but its not the same place anymore and is getting worse just like a lot of other places.

I actually would rather hear something like this about a coach making a logical and well-thought out decision than just jumping at money. It may mean he is meticulous with his decisions, which is a needed characteristic for LSU's next DC.

Is there a standard timeline in which, should we not have an answer, by default the answer is no and we need to move on?

I would think if you don’t have an answer by Monday, you should start interviewing others.

It’s a pretty big decision. Not surprising he wants to take some time to think about it.

I don't think that long - unless he interviews with another school but we haven't heard so it's ND LSU and Cincy.

You give him until Friday night or Saturday night at the latest.

Freeman likely wants to discuss with his inner circle including Luke Fickell.

He knew he was going on the interviews, and he knows what the programs are. Wouldn’t this have been discussed beforehand?

And you think Cincinnati is a great place to live and raise a family? Better go do some research

This. He gets to sleep on the decision tonight. That's proper. If we don't get a yes tomorrow, then the answer is no.

This and cincy could give him a raise. He also probably wants to gauge what Cincinnati’s plans are if/when fickell leaves. If he stays 1 year and is head coach next that’s hard for us to top.

He wants to have a presser with Notre Dame and LSU hats on the table.
