It’s always “personal reasons” when a player has a hissy fit about something and transfers. This probably won’t end well for him but good luck.

Right in a 3-4
Also he wasn't a true 3-4 outside linebacker.
He was playing on 3rd down
I think his role would've been part time/3rd downs this year

All he had to do was gain 25 lbs. Brennan was anorexic when he enrolled. Now he is a budding 1st rounder.

A budding first rounder? Based on what? A few drives 3 years ago?

How about we actually let the kid actually do something before we anoint him as a first round pick.

And it took Brennan 4 years to gain the weight. Some people have a harder time putting it on due to their metabolism

If he needs to be closer to home he should go with Aranda at Baylor

TCU would be a great fit for him as well with that 4-2-5 defense they run, and a good bit closer to home than Baylor

That's a good point as well

Whoever knows this young man, or has any interaction with him needs to sit him down and talk some sense into him. Hopefully, he settles down and stays put. I am excited to see Brooks out there next year. Surely coach O can keep him home.

Change of scheme typically = attrition.

I would have thought though that Monroe transferring would mean Brooks was back at safety. Guess that's not the case.

He refused to gain weight to play LB and wasn't fast enough or good enough in coverage for S.
That kid was a freak show on the field last year.

He tweeted earlier this year that he thought it was “stupid asf” that they had him at LB and he was like 203.

I wonder why we didn’t sell him on a Box Safety / Pass Rushing tool. Honestly I didn’t understand forcing him to play LB. Usually O had been open to kids playing where they want to.

I'll be disappointed if he leaves but he is a tweener who's best contributing asset is rushing the passer. A great majority of his snaps were hand down. That works gimmicky and situationally but not every down. Not at barely 200

He had that huge sack against Georgia in 2018 but not much else before that.
What?

He pressured Tua multiple times in Tuscaloosa. He got a huge sack vs Florida. Had another that was called a low hit. Which was horseshite. And he got a sack vs A&M

Watched him in limited spring. Super athletic but doesnt have a true position. He is a special teams guy on the next level. Situational guy on defense. I can see it!!!
