Is pitching an inning or 2 similar to a bullpen session he would already be throwing today?

yea it is. He can probably go 40-45 pitches.

Bold strategy…what if we get a Thursday-Saturday super regional and need him full go?

?????

there's never been a Thursday-Saturday super

there's been Friday-Sunday and Saturday-Monday

i mean, i guess there's the possibility if BYU was good enough, but they've never made a Super

Unless this would somehow jive with his normal throwing schedule I don't like it. He has a professional career to think about.

If today is a normal bullpen session for him, I don't mind 2-3 innings out of him.

After 101 pitches and two days rest? That's gutsy.

I did't think there was a chance he'd go.

Must have told coach he wants the ball. I would love to think he has that kind of competitive nature.

Our batters better not approach the game like Marceaux can save them from resorting to a weak outing.

There is no link because it hasn’t been announced anywhere

OP should be banned if he can’t provide a link

It’s his bullpen day. Let him go 3 innings.

I'm not totally against it. It would just surprise me, for a few reasons. 3 days rest is 3 days rest - a bullpen day is not anywhere near as intense as a game day, especially considering he will have already done his bullpen day by the time he steps foot on the field. I also don't love the matchup for him with all of the lefties - Gonzaga's lefties saw him well. At the end of the day, he's your ace so you might as well ride or die with him if he can go.

It’s probably going to be more of a pitch count over the number of innings in the planning for how to get through this game. I would guess Floyd first out the pen. He could maybe eat up a good chunk of the middle innings.

Can we get a link to confirm this? I do not mind considering today would likely be his bullpen day
