Is there any freshman who you would have rathered keep under redshirt status? Mine is Danielle hunter. Our defensive line is solid. Especially on the ends for this year. Kid is already physically a beast, but another year of maturing and adding speed and strength, I think it would have paid off having him the extra year.

I use to think this way as well. I now say let em play. Restock. Reload. LSU.

No freshman that was supposed to be redshirted has played yet. That means that no player has had their red shirt burned yet.

can't beat experience. There is no point in redshirting someone anymore. If they are good they leave as Redshirt juniors half the time.

et em experience early and they will be ready to play in case of more injuries. Also next year they will have some pt behind them and it wont be like the just came out of high school. As most people say how many of those guys that really contribute will be there 5 years? Not many.

I understand the experience thing. But In all actuality, other than these 3 first games, and Towson, how much experience will he really get the rest of the season.

We don't recruit guys to redshirt them. This isn't your fathers LSU.

My father's LSU played EVERYONE, and won a NC. White Team, Go Team, and the Chinese Bandits.

Doesn't matter. To illustrate just think of this years team. Here we are, one of the top teams in the country and we start exactly ONE senior on defense and began the season with only TWO senior starters on offense.

The game has changed. If you are a top team, and you have a bunch of redshirt seniors starting, you aren't recruiting very well.

LSU is absolutely doing it the right way, as soon as they are good enough to compete on the field put em out there and let em start learning.

Freshmen were not eligible to play back then.
