But back to the subject, O doesn't have that luxury. O has not won an SEC Championship, nor has he won the west side of the SEC. He sells a big game but the results 8 out of 10 times fall short.

not won a sec title?

he hasnt even proven he can finish above dead last in the sec west on a consistent basis.

I was on board even after the Moo State and Troy thing but my confidence was shaken.

The Auburn game made me happy. But then the Canada thing happened and while I think Canada was/is tough to work with, O hired him and for the betterment of the team, do what is best for the team, not cause riffs and so forth. He didn't do that in my opinion. Not happy with Canada? So be it, hires don't work out sometimes but then go back to what you said when you actually got the job and have a search for a proven OC.

It shouldn't have gone down like it did. "Hire the best coordinators..... " and so forth. There should've been an actual search for an OC, nothing against Ensminger.

That's when he lost me. If he wins and makes me eat my words, I'll have seconds.

LSU throwing short slants? Fans won’t even know what we are seeing.

I have been waiting to see this for decades now - Please let it happen this year.

I'll be a good boy.

Thank you Santa.

not comparing our program to Minnesotas but how their fan base reacts, who did far worse, as first year coach vs how our fans base reacts.

nope, we fired him after an 8-5 season followed by a 9-3 season followed by a 2-2

Minnesota had back to back 8-5 seasons, and they didn’t fire the coach. You are comparing the fan reactions of a program that fired the winningest coach in school history to a team with zero expectations to win even with their conference why because their first year coach had a worse record that our? Minnesota’s best season since 1961 was 2003 they went 10-3. If LSU doesn’t have a better year than Minnesota EVER YEAR. Our coach should probably be fired.

so what is the point of coming on here and shitting on him day after day after day? Just makes it seem like aren't interested in what he actually does do.

You realize things happen in the offseason right? So we react to it. Sorry I can’t turn off my brain and just pretend that things that have happened, like recruiting, staff moves etc, is just hunky dory.

And if you don’t want “shitting” on O then maybe quit comparing us to Minnesota

We ran it a ton in 2013 with Jarvis then poof gone.

Bring back slants and fricking run some screens.

This myth (no slants) got 49 upvotes?
Mett threw quite a few, and I recall Harris hit like 4 consecutive (amazingly) in '15 big loss to Arky until they adjusted and took it away.
Harris threw quite a few other errant slants almost getting WRs killed.

I doubt the staff just forgot about it. A slant by good QB is a fairly high risk /low reward play, and sure suicide with inaccurate QBs, hence rarely a featured route since '13.
The best part of hitting slants is selling sluggos for big yards imo.

No one wants him to fail.

Some
People just don’t think he can succeed.

For over a decade a 9-4 season was considered a bad season. 8-5 was terrible. 7-6 didn’t happen.

O comes in and all of a sudden we are making 100000 excuses for 9-4 with no reason to give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Then why did we fire Miles ????? I agree O should have not been hired.... he went 9-4 last year and it was his best record ever as a HC.... I don't see him doing any better than that for however long he is here....

I mean We fired Miles to do better.

9-4 isn’t better.

Which is why people are pissed. Also I don’t think O is a better coach than Miles.

“ to get better”

Exactly, and I think that’s the main thing that’s got most people pissed off. We traumatized the LSU football program for this???

We have thrown out Millions of dollars to pay off a head coach, a OC and the program has actually declined in most measurements. If we are spending more money and getting less Favorable results, shouldn’t people be pissed off??

Now, we are being told that 8 to 9 wins this season should be acceptable to us when before 10 wins was called “ underachieving”.

True but Miles was slipping...and didn't have the sense to walk away. Never understand why these guys have to be shown the door.

Yeah he should have just left and forfeited his buyout. That would be super smart and show good “sense”.
