Man oh man did we ever dodge a bullet with this Brendan Sorsby situation

Could you even imagine. What a shitshow disaster that would have been with all the other Kiffin drama and everything else. Unreal.

It would have been pretty entertaining. LSU would have been torn to shreds by the media. T Tech is getting off light. They should do the right thing, but I highly doubt they will, seeing as how they probably paid off the judge to begin with.

They are getting eviscerated
Entire conferences are discussing not playing them in any sports. Twitter is on fire about it killing the game. UGA's AD and several others banned all of their coaches from scheduling them.
They are not getting off light

I genuinely hope so. I hate that the kid fricked his life up like this but actions have consequences. He knew the consequences for this shite would be massive and he chose to do it anyway. Since his school and local government won’t do it, I hope the rest of the college sport world will.

There is a real possibility the BIG12 is going to boot them. The other teams in the conference are furious over this and are threatening to not playTT.

Can’t wait to see how TV contracts weigh in when it comes to booting TT. I have a feeling that the networks will not allow a boycott of the new most hated team in CFB.

For whatever reason this story has kinda passed me by, I know he gambled, did he gamble on his games, his stats?

THIS
Boycotting Texas Tech is what should happen. It would be a way to show how important this rule should be respected. Take the high road and boycott texas tech

The Violations: Sorsby admitted to placing over 9,000 bets totaling roughly $90,000 over a four-year span. This included 40 wagers placed on his own team (Indiana) while he was redshirting there, though he did not play in those games.

Is it proven that he acted alone? This whole time I've thought he may have had others in on it. College criminals have a hard time being quiet

I can’t see how large scale gambling among college football players betting on their own games is a good thing. That’s what has to be allowed by accepting the Sorsby decision.

Would not defend him even if he played for LSU....the one thing you cannot do.

Uh...what? There are lots of universities that have now said they are forbidden to schedule TTU, and some big 12 AD's are considering not playing them this year. They face being blackballed by all legitimate universities.

In a way, it's a bad ruling for TT. They know damn well he should be ineligible, but this judge is either a fan or got paid off and made a bias and "zero F's given" decision. So now they have to support their player and try to get him on the field, despite the fact that it's created a huge shite storm. If he plays, any success they have is going to come along with a huge asterisk.
Maybe they will just embrace it and "no such thing as bad publicity" applies to the football program, but the ruling just seems to have created a shitstorm that I am sure the school's administration is not enjoying.
I doubt the judge has to pay for a drink ever again though

I hope TT acts like they aren't going to play him, then lets him play after the fans show up.
In the end, I think he'll be in the supplemental draft.

I'm not sure we didn't somehow find out about this and move on to Leavitt because of it, in part.
