Milam hits a deep ball to right field and he can’t tell that it has a chance to go out. Kid hits a grand slam and he didn’t give the call until the ball hit 4 rows deep. No excitement. I’d rather hear Hawthorne say “Way Back there, Way Back there, caught at the wall” than bear Blair “fly ball to right field, Rinehart going over, aaaaand it’s in the bleachers. Three rows deep into the Diamond Deck”

FFS it’s so nonchalant and not exciting to listen to. He’s great on balls and strikes but can sometimes make calls so non enthusiastic.

To be fair, most of the crowd reacted the same to the Milam grand slam on tv

Not like it was a no doubter off the bat

Soooo…you’re upset that he called the play exactly as it happened?

The way he uses LSU’s gay sponsorships of sections of the box in every call is horrible.

Blair and whoever named the bleachers that are the only two people on earth who call that the diamond deck.

I’m watching it on tv and had no clue that ball was gonna sniff the fence

I think the only one who knew the ball was gone was Milam because he pimped it immediately

They did the same on TV. It didn't look like a homer off the bat.

It's not his best sport, but I've listened to most of the other SEC teams' baseball announcers, and he is way better than most of them.

I think Milam was more gauging if the ball was going to be fair than pimping it

Ditto. I was saying "get down, get down" hoping it would drop before a fly out. Had no idea it would get to the bleachers.

Maybe ‘pimping it’ is the wrong way to describe it, you’re right..

But from his reaction I thought he was either gonna be out or that it was foul

Agreed. Baseball isn’t his best. But way better than his peers

I always thought it was weird how he has no affiliation with lsu not from Louisiana nor did he grow up a lsu fan at least. So his excitement level tends to suck . I think they should look for someone with more of a lsu connection. Eli gold was great for bama cause he grew up in bama and was a bama fan .

I like Blair but I also miss Hawthorne. I don’t mind the “going going caught “.

I just listened to all three of the home run calls.
I have no complaint about any of them.

Ferguson - Hawthorne - Blair.
No complaints here.

I was watching on TV and it was the same. Obviously it wasn't a sure thing off of the bat, and the way it was hit, at first I wasn't so sure it was gonna be fair.
