Pretty embarrassing response. Nothing else to really say. You walk their best hitter with an open base on first and make someone else beat you.

If the next guy beats us, so be it, but it just wasn't a smart decision. Walking him sets up 3 possible force outs and takes pressure off the defense as well.

As if that's the only way to get someone out.

CPM and Lester Earl were in lock step on that one.

Not sure if that validates Lester or condemns Paul.

ETA: For the record, I’m kidding Lester. I enjoy your insights and your debate skills.

Makes no logical sense whatsoever. It shows he’s not even thinking about Mendoza being their best hitter.

To be fair, we’ve had his number. He hadn’t done shite.

Driving the bus like only he can. Putting the blame on his pitcher. Doesn’t surprise us.

I guess its going to take a week for me to avoid reading and hearing and seeing Manieri quotes and interviews. After what I saw this season, I just don't want to hear anything from him

I don't care if he was hitless.. (he actually did have a hit in the game)

You don't allow him the opportunity in that moment with a base open. You just don't. That is baseball 101.

He was ahead 1-2 at one point. There is no reason to think he couldn’t go do it.

This is as bad as to why Saul missed 2nd base yesterday, because he had a "sore foot"

And Martin behind him? The freshman who was like 250 in the postseason? Or roll the dice with the guy hitting 400 this post season?
