I think itll be poche and reynolds/newman to start with mac being the sunday guy. I expect poche to be the ace.
I think you're right.

I'm officially conducting the Jake Godfrey pain train.

Get it fueled and ready. I'll be joining you on it. Kid is legit. Throws gas. Probably the biggest power arm in the class.

Yep. These guys have so many coaching hands in the cookie jar as they move through a system. Even if the organization has plans in place to make sure all coaches work to develop a pitcher the same ways, it isn't the same as having an Alan Dunn focused on you and your growth for three years.
Very true.

I really think he is in the rotation by SEC play.

It's going to be a battle for those weekend spots.
Cartwright is going to go from a guy who pitched multiple Sundays in a row in SEC as a freshman to just another piece of the bullpen.
There's too many arms on this team.

It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't have a role on this team going forward. He'll get his chances, but I think a lot of the new guys we have coming in will be better than him.

Hopefully we've seen the last of Johnny Wholestaff. It'll be nice to have some weekend pitching stability this year.

I was okay with this either way, but I think it's going to be even better this way. Now the Stros can take Bregman with the extra first round pick next year.
So we get Bregman for his senior year?

It's almost a shame. I think he'll stick around though. He's a local kid with a good head on his shoulders that threw 90 as a freshman. He can improve even more and become even better.

Fall ball will be fun to watch.

We're going to need daily practice reports.

Nope, he'll play 2nd beside Correa and pick up a game winning hit against the cubs in the world series.

I think Newman & Reynolds pre-TJ had better stuff than Cartwright. Obviously, coming back from surgery is a wild card, though. As for the new guys, I think Godfrey, Marshall and Lange are already ahead of him.
