with there being just 4 hours and some change remaining and the Astros still not having signed Aiken, that has to be good for LSU right? Aiken has to be a much bigger priority for Houston, and if Aiken takes them all the way to the deadline, they may not have enough time left to negotiate a deal for Marshall and Nix. Or am I totally off-base with that reasoning? And for y'all that follow MLB more closely, is Nix or Marshall a bigger priority for the Astros? Which one of those two is easier for them to sign? TIA

Mac, you are going to start on the weekends next year for the Tigers. Alan Dunn is going to help you become a top draft pick, maybe even No. 1 overall. You are going to love your time at LSU. You don't want to be tied to this Aiken controversy. You will make even more money by staying with the best program in college baseball.

Nix already agreed to $1.5 million, but he has to wait for Aiken to sign. That's about a million over the slot, and the extra money has to come from Aiken's slot.
