Sucks for him to miss out the rest of this season but glad the surgery went well. When is he due back from an injury like that? 9 months? a year?

ACL recoveries are much quicker than before. I think 9 months is typical.

But he's a very big dude, and I don't know if that impacts recovery time for knees.

Has anyone heard if Dr. Andrews performed his surgery?

This is the same attitude that Klavon Chaisson had when he tore his ACL …now if he puts in the work like Chaisson…then I expect him to have a monster season next year

Doubt it. That's a pre-op space in Baton Rouge.

Probably done by one of the BROC doctors.

Hang in there Mr. Smith. Good times are coming. Work hard with the gifts God has given you. Think ALL-SEC and then ALL-PRO and it will happen. This is only a test......

80-year old Dr. Andrews is still better than any orthopedic surgeon based in Baton Rouge.

This. Also, with the attention and staff lsu has, his rehab will be sped up a great deal from the average joe. He will be full go in camp next year as long as he has no setbacks.

I’d be shocked if some random BROC doctor did the surgery for a possible future first round draft pick with tens of millions of dollars on the line. The doctors and clinics in this city are so shitty and unprofessional it’s astounding

Have never seen a big strong young healthy guy tear up a knee the way he did just by celebrating. Thats usually reserved for us old farts that are out of shape Get well big guy we will need you next year.

He would not be in the top 20. Man, 80 years old is fuggin OLD! No way in the world I’m letting a 70 year old surgeon touch me.

In fact, I research surgeons and pick the best one in his 40s or early 50s.

It wouldn't be the first time LSU's team physician performed an ACL surgery on a future NFL player.

Someone has obviously never been into Brent or Chip Bankston’s offices and waiting rooms. There have been quite a few Bankston ACL’s in professional sports over the years.
