We really enjoy Lyn Rollins. Sure his jokes are corny. At least I get a good laugh. He is much bettter than any of the other baseball announcers I've heard this year.
The Arkansas guys this weekend were so bad.

exactly. The national guys that have no connection to the program are so dry and seem distant from the game.
Lyn, as corny and goofy as his lines are, you can tell he genuinely enjoys calling LSU games, and the jokes are so brilliantly corny that I crack up laughing at them.

I think what bothers me the most about these CST games is all the stupid sponsorships. The starting lineups, umpires, ball park dimensions, and weather were all brought to us by someone. Just makes it very amateurish

What a weird thing to be bothered by.

Does it hinder you from watching the game?

He could at least find a few new lines. Some are older than hell. His HR line, Pucker up, is way past its prime. He tries too hard at times as well. But other than Ben, he's about as good as we can get & he's an LSU guy all the way.

Try the radio broadcast. It's way worse, but funny in a way.

"Gilbert's pitch is low for ball three. And if you're feeling low, call our friends at Acadian Psychology, the official therapists for LSU sports fans. And that one is fouled back for strike two."

Yall should hear the softball commentating, jesus we have heard it all.

"She jumped on that bunt like a rat on a cheeto"

"She's a ninja at SS"

"This game is tighter than the top string of a Texas fiddle"

I remember when Serrett made a nice play but it came out wrong

I mean we can pages of this stuff too

I can understand how he can be annoying but good guy who means well. He can be funny too.

"She sucked that ball in faster than a vacuum"

That is the way it sounds when everyone says LSU. Unless you are super proper about it.

Unfortunately broadcasting LSU games to local audiences isn't an extremely lucrative.
I feel fortunate to be able to see them on TV. We are fortunate CST is as sophisticated as they are.

Say what you want about Lyn, no one can say he doesn't love LSU. He is very knowledgeable about baseball. I appreciate his insights. I'm pretty sure he was a NCAA umpire.

He gets super excited when the opponent does well. Almost like he wants them to. He says things during the course of games that seem like intentional jinx statements.

That is a running joke between Lyn and Ronnie Rantz. It is actually quite funny.
Lyn rightly believes he has no supernatural powers to junks. Ronnie being the baseballl player feels differently.
