Newsflash: The other teams in our conference have good players too.

yeah that really excuses our craptastic offensive coaching and offensive philosophy.

You really think this team can beat a top ten team like Florida with a backup Oline and no kick return game to speak off? Not to mention we lost some LBers in the game.

we are adjusting to all the injuries and don't leave out blue. miles basically said we only get 20 hours a week of practice and its very difficult to get young guys up to speed once the season starts. the scheme is simple and predictable but the execution by the players is worst. no turnovers. catch the football. hit the open receivers. eliminate the penalties. none of this has anything to do with scheme or play calling.

Those "others" don't seem to know that we play in the SEC where is no continual "best", but there is among the very best which is where LSU can be located.

Ahh..I see. The prospect of an off season is fine, because of past success
Well, simply put, it is true. For example, Bama last won the SEC West in 2009. In 2010, they fell back, including blowing a huge lead to their most hated rival. Issue? Well, you have their past to reassure you things will be ok. Then last season they lose at home against LSU in the biggest game of the season. Their offense looked average at best, and their special teams were an absolute joke (multiple missed FGs, punt returner allowed a kick to get past him). Their whole team was worn down at the end, while LSU was looking fresher and more conditioned.

Where was the imminent collapse of civilization those two seasons? Shouldn't Bama (by this logic) have turned on their coach and tanked?

Losing is one thing. Losing when the other guys score 14 points is a bit more difficult to swallow.

It was a winnable game.

wow, you clearly are not football savvy. go back and watch games and see if the play calling has nothing to do with it. You think teams do not learn tendencies which make it harder for our guys to run slants and comebacks all day long?

This is where blowing out non conference cupcakes early aides in future player development. Last year we blew out plenty of teams only to allow Mett come in and handoff a handful of times. He does not prepare the kids for the future. What happens if Mett gets knocked out of the game?

We're replacing players that are injured. We have to do that or we don't have enough players on the field.

That's not making adjustments.

That's a failed gameplan, then. Like I said, don't misunderstand where I'm coming from, I'm a huge advocate of Miles but I have about had it with this conservative and non adjustment trend that's been going on. I've met him more than once, my favorite LSU hat is autographed by him, I only wear it in our really big games.

However, he is the HC. Don't try to sell me this stuff that we only have X amount of hours to practice and so on. You are the HC. It's your job to get these guys up to speed. We have new guys on defense, they aren't playing lights out but they're playing infinite times better than just about anyone on offense.

Again, part of that is adjustments, part of that is coaching. Who is going to teach these guys to catch the ball? Eliminate the penalties? Cut down the turnovers? Whose job is that again?

Florida beat the Tigers at their own game: Play stout defense (we did), run the ball(we did not), continue to run the ball and connect on a few passes (we had the drops).

The offensive line MUST block better, and by the way, WE WILL beat the Cocks Saturday night.

I agree, but you aren't grasping the main issue here. LSU isn't that good.
what happened to this being THE YEAR? We weren't even supposed to be in the BCS game last year.. We should just be happy we were there and not be concerned about the abortion of a game on 1-9-12, bc this is supposed the year!!
That's all we heard or read from Posi-les nation... Now it's, well we really aren't that good.. Or, you can't expect us to lose what we did in the draft last year and expect to be great.. (BAMA says hi BTW) make up your mind Posi-les nation...

Agreed. They weren't doing it in the first half, we held them to 40 or 50 yards in the first half.

Muschamp made adjustments at the half and we did not. We kept doing offensively what we've been doing.

Look what it got us.

Agree again. But that's not the only issue on offense. The penalties need to stop, we need to stop turning the ball over, the WRs need to hold onto the ball. We need to pass more. We need to stop being predictable.

I'll be there. I want my frustration right now to turn to jubilation.

That may have been the worst fricking press conference I have ever heard. The man was completely detached from reality and vomiting from the mouth.

I'm so pissed off.

I am kind of a realist with eternal optimistic tendencies. What I see all looks fixable and every week I have this hope its gonna change.

I think if you get a solid offensive line coupled with a game plan that takes advantage of it, LSU wins.
