Love how you say this...
quote:

miles basically said we only get 20 hours a week of practice and its very difficult to get young guys up to speed

and follow it up with this...
quote:

the scheme is simple and predictable

and end with this...
quote:

execution by the players is worst...none of this has anything to do with scheme or play calling.

Now we are down to complaining about how there is just not enough practice hours in the week to prepare for this simple and predictable scheme. Jeeeez. And if you don't think our scheme (and the failure to adjust it) had anything to do with us losing to Florida then you did not watch that game.

I wonder how the other teams do it....they must be practicing like 60.

So in your opinion the coaches have no reason to demand/want/expect more from the players since we have already reached an elite level?

I said/implied that where?

fans shouldn't expect more from one of the highest paid staffs in CFB?

They should expect LSU to compete for the west, SEC, and national honors.

Seems to me that highly paid staff has pretty much done that both recently and long term based off the fact LSU is both the current SEC champs and played for the last NC.

We loss to a Top 5 team on the road...it happens and to everyone. Not a season defining event in my mind, but each to our own.

We need to play better and coach better. I think everyone knows that uncluding the players and coaches.

We will see what happens, but we all need to take a breath, let the team see if they can work it, and have some faith. imo

But many fans believe (rightfully so IMO) that the reason we lost is because of our lack of imagination on offense. Not developing a passing game etc. Running the ball into the strength of a defense. UF didn't beat us as much as LSU just had a terrible game plan.

Our offense won for Florida by beating our defense. Our O wore out our D.

With the current system, it definitely is a season defining moment.

Gosh, you got that out of "Those "others" don't seem to know that we play in the SEC where is no continual "best", but there is among the very best which is where LSU can be located"?

I suppose there is no need for anyone to frequent a message board to discuss the issues with the season at hand.

Sure there is...lets those who feel the need to vent their displeasure have an avenue to rant. It not gonna fix any issuses we might see, but gives all a place to chat them up.

Well, part of the problem is everyone seems to get lumped into two groups, which is far from reality.

Many of us support the staff, support the players and want the best, but don't always think the train is on the right tracks. Forums are for discussing such and I am glad we have this one.

Could be I guess, but I doubt it.

I thought it was more the lack of a rushing game, 3 t/o's, and almost 100 yds in penalties.

You guys are acting like its the 1st time a good LSU team has gone on the road in the SEC and took an L or played poorly.

Lets just hold our water and see what the next couple games show us.

Let me guess ... the ideal press conference at this moment would be Les walking out and saying, Folks, I suck."

Well, being it was the second time in two conference games I do think there is a reason for a bit of concern. Auburn isn't exactly a great benchmark to test your excellence this year.
