So there are 8 teams out that would get in before LSU does, according to Lunardi.

Seems really harsh imo.

He's got UGA in that group. We pick up two wins this week (Vandy and @UGA) and we will be either "in" or in the first four out.

We are 6-8 in conference play with an RPI of 75

What were you expecting?

It seems realistic to me.

I don’t see the issue. Our RPI is like 70 and we’re sitting at 6-8 in the conference

I think it is disgusting that A&M is a fricking 6 seed despite being 6-9 in conference and 17-11 overall. LSU swept them.

They should be firmly on the bubble. I have NEVER heard of 6-9 team in conference get a 6 seed.

Yea some of the bubble teams in front of us have good RPI's but damn their wins and losses are unimpressive.

If it were just conference play, A&M would be out. I think they actually have a worse conference RPI than LSU. Big difference is A&M's non-conference RPI is 11, and LSU's is 45th.

Two teams I think are too high right now are OU and A&M, but it's crazy how small of a difference there is right now between the 6 seeds and the 12 seeds. If A&M loses two in a row, while LSU wins the next two that gap will be considerably closer.

This guy gets it.

My take is this....From Day 1 of this season I thought an invite to the NIT would be a tremendous accomplishment for this team. Seeing the season play out as it has, I still believe this. As long as we pick up a couple more wins, then an NIT berth should be sewn up, strictly based on the number of quality wins that we will have along with an RPI which should be in the area it is in now.

Having said that, I am all for sweeping the remaining games and kicking in the door of the NCAA Committee and declaring ourselves worthy of a bid to the Big dance....but I just don't see it happening. I am very happy with where we sit right now.

Plenty of time and things that can happen, we just needed to keep winning and that will take care of itself.

No it doesn't. Seems accurate. Here is the deal there are 3 more weeks before tourney...if we go 5-1/5-2 we will have our shot

You have to be inside the Top 50 to get an at-large out of a major conference. There are very rare exceptions.

Worrying about this seasons results at all seems like it's basically all for nothing...I get the whole we want success thing but with what is coming in and knowing that the roster next year will be competing with the top tier teams and at least will be a top 25 caliber squad is really making this year's team as boring as could be. Waters is fun to watch but I keep imagining him next to smart on the wing with Naz and the dual Williams down low. It couldn't come any faster.

If we win the last 4 SEC games (all winnable but obviously difficult to run the table) plus 1-2 games in the SEC tourney, would that give us a chance? That would get to 20 wins and ending on a hot streak.
