Nippolt can't even bunt so there's a roster spot.

There's 2 MIF spots up for grabs and only 3 guys that I really expect to compete for the 2 starting spots (Guidry, Braswell, Milam). Even if we brought in Hill, I'd expect these spots to be a rotation until April meaning all 4 guys will get significant opportunities to prove themselves. Whichever 2 don't win the job probably aren't as good as they thought they were and arent going to get drafted highly anyway and we can probably afford to let transfer. And without Hill we're one injury away from being very thin.

He will and should give Guidry every opportunity to win the job.
The question is how far behind is Guidry on developing his hitting.

No offense Carl, I’m an avid reader.
Is that talk to text? That is the real question.

This is a premier landing spot for players and we will always recruit the best regardless of someone’s fear of getting beat out at a position. If someone doesn’t want to come in and compete for a job, Jay won’t take them and he shouldn’t. He talked countless times about the selflessness of this team
Yep I was impressed at the selfless attitude of the team. The players staid ready for their opportunity and cheered for their teammates accomplishments.
Guys interchanged all season and always gave their best effort.

None taken. I’m very self aware of my terribleness. You should see my work in the Braves threads.

He knew he would never start at CHS - football or baseball. You can squawk all you want, but when Rick, who was not from La, asked me @ Marucci where the best baseball in BR was, we told him CHS. when he found out that his better option was to stay at EHS, he did so. He wouldn’t have started at CHS like he did at EHS.

So he started at Arizona State as a freshman, but wouldn’t have started at CHS?

Wherever he goes he’s gonna have to earn a spot especially at any sec school
If he’s worried about competition he could stay at the sure thing Arizona st which can get him drafted just as easily
It is very competitive at chs
Know a player who hardly played senior year at chs but based on summer league signed with lower level school
Chs loses 10-15 kids every year after baseball tryouts and they end up at other high schools to play sports
