Dave Aranda

I love Dave but he is neither experienced enough nor successful enough for THIS job. If O is out, then his replacement needs to be a sure thing. Not a home run hire but a sure fricking thing. We shouldn’t settle for Les this time. . .

Besides Saban, I’m not sure a “sure thing” exists in college coaching searches.

Coaching hires at the college level are extremely unpredictable.

Hell even the most slam-dunk of homerun hires in a Saban hire would come with some concerns/unknowns…How much longer is he planning on coaching?

That’s not true at all.

First off, Lane can read and write. He’s also had success coordinating his side of the ball unlike Edward

Lane is a good coordinator but god damn I don’t want him near this program as HC

There is no such thing. Tom Herman was a sure thing. Jimbo was a sure thing.

Hell, Saban was not a 100% sure thing when he took over Bama.

You can’t just hire a name. The right guy has to come with the name and the right guy might not be the big name you think we need.
