Let's not forget special teams (where so many freshman make their initial "bang" with the team).

I can envision Trevon Randle, Micah Eugene, and David Jenkins all playing on kick coverage teams.

Do to the past with WR's like Wright and Boone playing Odell and Landry will play. Collins will end up seeing the field. With the talent we're bringing in and will bring it next year we'll see a lot more Frosh on special teams.

Johnson is a sure thing, considering he played in the spring game. He has a head start being here longer, getting acquainted with going to class, etc. etc.

With dport switching to oline Johnson automatically comes to mind on replacing him for depth. We just going to have to wait and see if he actually starts over other guys.

Everyone will say, "We played X amount of freshmen last year. We will see a ton this year as well." That's just not the case imo. True, a ton of freshmen played last year. Obviously they all return so the need for the guys coming in simply isn't there.

while I agee with this premise of maybe not "needing" that many to play, part of the recruiting game now is promising--and giving--early playing time. I think we'll see at least 7-8 true freshman play various roles. It will definitely be more than 2.

LE, do you really think Hilliard will play? We already have Ware and Ford who are big backs, not to mention Blue, then we also have Gore as a scat back. I could see him on ST, but I just don't know if he gets any carries at RB this year.

We have 4 corners ahead of him. If one gets hurt or tired, Jenkins is in.

Didn't read the link, did you? The page says he could play corner, but has him listed as a safety.

I assumed he was listed as a safety, but no way he plays safety at LSU.

OK.

You know...it is only his bio on lsusports.net. But sure, I'll take your word for it.

Look, I'm not saying this definitely isn't a typo. It could be. I expected him to be a corner, too, until I read this.

But it seems foolish to be so sure of yourself, here, when you clearly don't know anything (nor do I, ftr).

Not that any of this matters very much. I doubt he plays this year anyways.

Turner is staying at receiver for now as well. Kinda surprising with the depth at the position.

Hilliard has 25-30lbs on Ford and Blue. prob a good 10lbs on Ware.

physically he's ready. i think you'll at least see him on KO coverage. they like to break FR RBs in at that spot.

as far as carries, maybe 20-30 all year
