LSU's schedule thus far. Something to consider.

Clemson was the team receiving the most votes in the initial AP poll that was not ranked. Essentially they were #26
Kentucky inexplicably dropped from #23 to the team receiving the most votes in the AP poll from an unranked team. Thus making them #26 when we played them.
Auburn had just beat #1 Georgia the week before we played them. They were the team unranked receiving the most votes for an unranked team, thus making them #26.
Thats 3 teams that were a hair away from being ranked when we played them. I keep hearing that we dont have any quality wins yet had these teams had a few more votes each, we all would be saying we had 2 ranked wins rn with one loss by one point to "ranked" Kentucky.
I realize the AP is absolutely meaningless and yes, if we win out none of this matters. Im just bringing this to light bc I havent heard anyone else mention it.

Well, duh. They were all about to play LSU. They need a narrative to keep us down

The fallacy in your post is that there is no big difference in beating the #25 team and the #26 team. Also, who gives a shite what they were ranked in week one? If Clemson had been ranked #1 when we played them, then the win would have been well respected the next week, but by now it would be what it is.

I’m surprised they didn’t drop Ole Miss out of the top 25 for the LSU game just in case LSU did win that game. I’m sure the AP was sweating bullets when LSU came back to tie that game up.

Only dumb people base quality wins on what the opponent was ranked at the time of the game.

We've lost to the 2 good teams we have played so far and beaten two very average teams (Clemson and Auburn) and one slightly below average team (Aggie). State sucks without Kamario Taylor and Bothwell playing.
We are about to find out where we really are in the rebuilding process over the next 3 weekends.
