It's funny how everyone flew off the handle and couldn't see that this was a thread making the ridiculous thread making fun of the offenses of Alabama's opponents yet the thread went full ranter because I dared to show stats that show both the LSU and Alabama offenses are equally potent scoring offenses.

Coincidentally i've done that before as well.

FCS, 14th 62nd, 105th, 99th, 29th, 61st, and 67th in scoring

Bama is the 14 and Iowa is the 29. When you average it out they have played even worse teams than Bama.

So a one-dimensional pass attack with a extremely average offensive line is harder to plan for than a balanced attack with a dominant run game like LSU's?

I bet lil Nick would disagree.

Agreed.

No joke. For as much hell as LSU fans want to give Alabama fans on here for being arrogant and delusional, they've been in a whole different world these past few days. They could clearly beat Packers by 4 TDs, and anybody who says Alabama even has a chance to win this game is absolutely insane.

I don't know. The only thing I would point out is that LSU and Alabama have scored 314 and 315 points this season respectively against roughly the same caliber of defenses. Yet somehow LSU is balanced and dangerous and Alabama's offense sucks and is one dimensional.

I don't know who's saying this. The offenses look pretty identical to me.

That said, our edge in this game is special teams more than anything else.

Bingo. As much as I'd like to have RR on our roster at WR, if there was a position I'd swap players with LSU it would be P. In a game like this, hidden yardage in the kicking game can be huge. For UA to have a P as bad as ours; embarassing. Wing is a weapon*.

*And dude should NOT have been hit with the unsportsmanlike flag. I thought it was great**.

**BTW, who was the kid that threw that sledgehammer block right before Wing started styling? Can't believe that aspect of the play didnt get more run.

Would it blow your mind to know we score more points per game than they do?

Just to see who the 3 Offensive Juggernauts have played

Oregon 48.1 ppg #4 Scoring Offense

LSU 27 points (#3 Scoring Defense 11.5 ppg)
Nevada 69 points (#69 Scoring Defense 27.6 ppg)
Southwest Mo. St. 56 points (FCS team, but has given up 303 points in 8 games, which is 37.9 ppg, which would be somewhere around 118th)
Arizona 56 points (#106 Scoring Defense 33.9 ppg)
California 43 points (#60 Scoring Defense 25.7 ppg)
Arizona St. 41 points (#38 Scoring Defense 22.6 ppg)
Colorado 45 points (#117 Scoring Defense 37.1 ppg)

West Virginia 38.3 ppg #18 Scoring Offense

Marshall 34 points (#82 Scoring Defense 30 ppg)
Norfolk State 55 points (given up 143 points all year, but WVU is the only Div. 1 school they play all year)
Maryland 37 points (#94 Scoring Defense 31.4 ppg)
LSU 21 points (#3 Scoring Defense 11.5 ppg)
Bowling Green 55 points (66th Scoring Defense 27.1 ppg)
Connecticut 43 points (#29 Scoring Defense 20.7 ppg)
Syracuse 23 points (#63 Scoring Defense 26.7 ppg)

Arkansas 37.7 ppg #19 Scoring Offense

Southwest Mo. St. 51 points (FCS team, but has given up 303 points in 8 games, which is 37.9 ppg, which would be somewhere around 118th)
New Mexico 52 points (#119 Scoring Defense 47.6 ppg)
Troy 38 points (#102 Scoring Defense 33 ppg)
Alabama 14 points (#1 Scoring Defense 6.9 ppg)
Texas A&M 42 points (#57 Scoring Defense 25.4 ppg)
Auburn 38 points (#75 Scoring Defense 28.3 ppg)
Ole Miss 29 points (#79 Scoring Defense 29.1 ppg)

So, are these good offenses, or have they just played bad defenses?

Your mother should have aborted!!!!

Just posting what your team did in my thread

HOWEVER, looking at the defensive ranks....we have played 4 teams in the top 25 of defenses.

Thanks for the boost of confidence!

LSU has seen better offenses than Alabama (although probably not a better single player in TR)

If you want to toot the LSU defensive horn remember that LSU has faced 4 straight back-up QB's (a 3rd stringer in FL thanks to BAMA).

Do you not read the this board? Or the rant? Obviously each fan base has its loser who are predicting 30-7 blowouts for their teams. Just ignore that. But the overall consensus from LSU fans is that Trent runs the ball 25-35 times a game and catches AT LEAST half of AJ's passes. Then lacy comes in for the fourth to pad his stats. There MIGHT be 10 LSU fans over here that know a reasonable amount about Alabama this year and don't constantly flame. There MIGHT be 10 Alabama fans here that flame y'all and don't know about your team. LSU fans this week have been unbearable.

At the end of the day, stats mean shite. This will be a war of epic proportions. The only CLEAR cut advantage on paper I see,is in the kicking game, for LSU.I hope we can find a way to compensate,or it may be a long frigging day.Let's hope it does not come down to having to make a field goal to win.

TE Chase Clement. He also told Wing the fake was open.

Max, if LSU gave out helmet stickers, that kid should get 2. Guarantee that Gator was answering the phone ringing in his head for a week. Actually, when it happened live I lost my shite on the block and didn't see Wing's sylin'.
