Quar-ter-back!!

That is all that matters. You have to have a mature/experienced QB in the SEC.

If you think the 2007 was good, you have the same Crowton, QB. The only changes from 2007 are the OL with Dworaczky, T-Bob and new FB. Those are the only changes from 2007.Maybe this info will give you a clue. Our running game was next to nothing. I suggest you look at who is new and the performance of those that are new to the present offense.

Hmmm, Tebow winning heisman as a sophomore

Bout time someone brings this up. Mark my words. LSU will NEVER win anything with Jefferson at QB. Miles is digging himself into a grave by playing Mr. Get sacked at the 50 after being in field goal range at the 35. Jefferson's inept QB play was the reason LSU lost against Florida and Alabama. We need a pure passer who can run every now and then like Flynn. Not some dude that runs every play and gets sacked because he can't feel the pressure.

I agree that the Personnel has been different, but it is the Offensive Coordinator's JOB and responsibility to maximize production out of the resources he has at any given time.

In my job, if the performance of my department declines as we face attrition, it will fall on my shoulders. It's a management system failure in developing talent, always having people prepared, playing to their strengths, and putting them in a situation to be successful.

Crowton and Miles have mismanaged our talent and there's really no doubting that when you look at the numbers along the way or the end results.

Only personnel changes from 2007 offense are CENTER,LEFT GUARD& FULLBACK.Results, can't run the football and QB has most sacks which didn't happen in 2007.Wonder who plays those positions?Maybe more personnel changes need to be made.Scott was able to run in 2007 and QB's didn't get sacked like this year.

I agree that JJ was a horrible QB but it was up to Crowton, who is supposed to be good at developing QB's, to see that JJ improved. There was not one bit of improvement the whole year. Either Chris Garrett is pegged as the starter or LSU will have a really bad year and Miles is out.

C'mon dude, don't you know? Overnight, Crowton lost all his coaching ability. Isn't that the logical thing to assume?

It is the coaches responsibility to develop the players, but seriously, I just don't think JJ is going to develop much. I don't think Crowton is really the problem...give him a decent pocket passing QB and I think everyone will jump back on the Wizard bandwagon.

Look at what he did at LaTech with 1 smart QB with a decent arm and 1 5'10" WR with speed...records that probably won't be broken...

History. 1st year great. 2nd and subsequent years worse. After he is fired, the offense gets much better.
Both Oregon and BYU were better served getting rid of him. This makes too much sense, huh?

Interesting stats to say the least. But wouldn't you agree there are lots of factors that affect productivity from year-to-year? Scheduling, personnel, chmistry . . . So each of those cases needs to be looked at with more depth before conclsions are drawn.

I can't speak to the BYU/Oregon situations but the loss of RP with the big gap between him and Lee, Hatch, JJ is certainly a factor here.

What is maddening with Crowton is: a) no adaptibility - just refused to simplify things to fit his personnel. b) too often chooses the sensational (or trying to set-up the HR) over the simple but effective.

LSU's offense was just short of awesome in 2007.

What is differnt about that offense and our current offense?

I will start with a hint: It damn sure is not Gary Crowton

You do realize Crowton has followed the same pattern everywhere he has gone, right?

First year....amazing.
Second year.....not quite as good.
Third year......a big regression from year 1.

It happened at Louisiana Tech, BYU, and Oregon. Why we thought this was a good hire is beyond me, but Crowton has merely followed his pattern.

I don't know what "Q" is and I don't give a shite. This is all Crowton.

I would say to have a great team a junior or senior QB is almost always required.

Tell that to Oklahoma 2008. They had a sophomore QB, and what ended up being the statistically greatest offense of all time.

Record was 9-4 when he won the Heisman. Hardly competing for the NC.

Crowton's innovation and wizardry is a total fabrication. The sooner he is gone the better.

Appears it will not be sooner so here's hoping for better play-calling and more importantly better execution next season. I don't recall JJ hooking up with anyone on that skinny post pattern GC loves to call all season despite BL and TT being open over and over. Hit a few of those and the offensive line and running game suddenly magically improve.
