Odds To Make The College Football Playoff National Championship Game. So LSU has the same are near the same odds as Michigan, Wisconsin, Oregon, Penn St., Ole Miss, and Tenn. On a neutral field, I would take LSU and Coach Kelly over every one of them! You can bookmark this thread, but LSU has the best shot among them. I think I just talked myself into believing LSU will beat Alabama in Tiger Stadium.

Alabama 2/3 (-150)
Ohio State 7/4 (+175)
Georgia 2/1
Clemson 5/2 (+250)
USC 9/1
Texas A&M 11/1
Texas 14/1
Miami FL 18/1
Oklahoma 18/1
Notre Dame 22/1
Utah 22/1
Michigan 33/1
Florida 40/1
LSU 40/1
North Carolina State 40/1
Oregon 40/1
Penn State 40/1
Wisconsin 40/1
Ole Miss 50/1
Tennessee 50/1
Arkansas 66/1

People like you would be better off if you didn't bet your favorite team. You can't be objective.

I’m not saying LSU goes undefeated, but this Kelly led LSU team will beat Alabama in Tiger Stadium. If LSU has two losses, but a win over Alabama, the Tigers could still make the playoffs. Fla and or Tenn would have to help with Ga.

No team has lost a season opener and made it to the playoffs.

I don’t really think LSU beating bama is that outlandish. Just look at last year. Not saying I expect a victory but it wouldn’t surprise me

People like you would be better off listening more instead of prejudging others. Bookmark this thread smartass, Kelly is the reason for my positive outlook, he’s just like Saban , they’re both winners.

Another way to look at it for LSU fans, which of these teams on their home turf have the best chance of beating Alabama? LSU, Geaux Tigers!

I am riding on the CBK train. A national championship is within our grasp, considering our talent combined with the process we have.

A one lose LSU team makes the playoffs. I believe LSU beats bama at home.

It is shocking that a team that Vegas sets at 7 for the total over under season wins has the 14th best odds of making the playoffs.
Tells you one of two things
1. Either lsu/national football fans inflate lsu like Texas/usc/notre dame/Michigan get every year or …
2. People know deep down that with LSU’s talent (no matter how depleted from last year) with the most competent coach since Saban might actually surprise people
I admit that this season is a true wild card and don’t expect much, but like I’ve heard mentioned, despite the gutting from last years roster, this will still be the most talented team Kelly has ever coached. Now the SEC west is the toughest division, but we shall see. I’m ready!

Most teams have question marks.

LSU probably has more question marks with more likelihood of having a major weakness than many of the teams you mention.

However, if Michigan, for example, ends up with all of its questions answered positively, it still probably doesn't have enough to win the NC.

LSU, on the other hand, has elite talent at key positions and if it ends up with all of its questions answered positively probably is more capable of winning the NC.

That's the lure of a team like LSU. It's defensive backfield may be a major problem. Its OL could be a weakness. It's QB may not be able to consistently play at a high level. BUT, if it does, it's WRs are second to none and it's DL can be dominant.

Having said that, the most likely scenario is that LSU finishes behind most of those teams you mentioned.

I just can’t wait for A&M to drop like 2 games before October and we can stop hearing about them winning the SEC
