It's a shame because it also robs the visiting teams of the opportunity to play a night game in death valley. That's a hell of an experience for those kids that they're now going to miss out on.

I assume it’s part of the TV thing that the conference wants to have games all day for TV purposes. Everyone should have to take their turn in this unfavorable slot. Bama took their hit last week. The Tigers also played at 11am but it wasn’t a home game. One time a season seems reasonable unless a team prefers the 11a slot. Then they can have it more. Some of this may be tied to teams having two bye weeks.

11am kickoff.
This has less to do with Bama whining and everything to do with TV scheduling and the revenues that come. Follow the money, not the bitching.

Pretty amazing that this has never once happened before and goes against a deal we had in place.

If it was about the money, LSU would be on ESPN in the 11am slot. Not SECN.

Sorry you are incapable of understanding why we are playing at 11am but I’m not surprised.

The problem isn’t that it’s “one game.” It’s that we stand to have very few home night games the rest of the way. UF and Auburn are both prime CBS candidates at home the way things are setting up. We may not play another night home game until Ole Miss or Arkansas. I’m sorry, but that’s bullshite. Is everyone good with no home night games for almost two months?

SEC games we wear white if we want to. Out of conference game other team has to agree

So we chose to wear Purple on the road @ Vandy?

Home team gets the choice in SEC play. They chose to go with special unis as a tribute to a former player who died.

Bama doesn't even play that weekend, so I'm trying to figure out why their bitching is what turned this into an 11am kickoff.

It's a punitive placation of the tender feelings in Gumpland. It's not a matter of putting LSU at 11 am to open up a night slot for a Bama game. It's just to appease the golden goose in Tuscaloosa by having LSU play a 11 am game just like poor little ole Gump did. The SEC is always treating them bad ya know?

"But Pawwwwwwwwwwl! Why do we gotta play so many 11 AM games?! LSU never does. See how many night games they played since 2014! That ain't fair Pawwwwwwl!"

Boom. That was all it took to give LSU its first non conference day game in 11 years. In the name of "schedule equity" to satisfy Alabama.

Vandy asked to wear their light colored Jersey and we let them, just as most that come to Tiger Stadium allow us to wear white. It has to be agreed on... LSU is going to wear white the next time Vandy comes.
