I'm now cheering for some massive cold front to come through at 10:45. Delaying kickoff 3-4+ hours with a kickoff temp of 63...

yep. it has nothing to do with wins and losses at 11 am. it's all about our traditions, and they just gave us a big frick you.

...and that it is just a coincidence it happens a week after Alabama bitches.

I agree that LSU fans (as many other fanbases) can be a whiny bunch wrapped up in baseless conspiracy theories that the league is out to get them...but not this time. It is a CLEAR and unambiguous reaction to the Bama complaints.

Maybe Woodward should pen a letter saying how it was such a great experience for the team/players to travel to Nashville this past weekend and it's too bad LSU won't get to do it again for nearly 20 fricking years because the league has to preserve the yearly Bama/Tenn. game at all costs!

Bama dictates other teams' scheduling around their "traditional rivalry" with Tennessee, Moo State can ring their cowbells because it's a tradition, but LSU's tradition of night football means zero to the SEC.

I have to admit that I'll be more than a little disappointed if Woodward doesn't at least make a statement of how disappointed he is, and that we've never had to do this before for a non-conference game. Isn't it Tiger Band alumni weekend too?

Bunch of friggin puddins we have as fans.

We get to wear white at home. That's a tradition that is honored and has nothing to do with TV. We play most of our games at night, but TV has a role in this. I don't like playing at 11a, but you could say we've gotten away with avoiding this shitty slot for years while teams like Alabama have to play in it each and every year, sometimes multiple times. Take the panties off and stop bitching about a game against Utah State.

And to The Boat -- A+ on the new Avatar, I'll give you that.

The SEC shouldn’t have control over a team’s non conference schedule

Unless things have changed, this is the case only if the opposing team agrees. If they don't, we can't wear white.

Why does the SEC have any control over how we handle non-conference games anyway?

The bottom line is that this isn't a random occurrence. It's not coincidence that we get two morning kickoffs in a row after Saban and the Bama AD complain.

So TV, for NUMEROUS years, has not found it worthy to air a LSU non-conf. game during the day. Yet, simply by pure conicidence, it happens for the first time in several years a week after Alabama complains? Sounds logical.

Again, LSU fans don't give a shite if Alabama plays the likes of USM at night. They don't care if the Alabama/USM game is broadcast at the exact same time as the LSU v. non-conf. opponent game. It's simply the fact that the league VERY CLEARLY decided they unnecessarily needed to usurp a big tradition of LSU's (night games) simply to appease another school

Just another reason for Joe Burrow to hang 50 on the SEC's crown jewel, Alabama!

I highly doubt there were any at 11 am before 1984.

There really were no early afternoon games at Tiger Stadium until the SEC entered into an agreement with the old JP Sports and their predecessors as well as TBS. There were actually very few 230 games until the early 80's as well.

Bama doesn't even play that weekend, so I'm trying to figure out why their bitching is what turned this into an 11am kickoff.
