well, how about this...

Arky had a near disaster earlier in the year when Franks decided he was going to burn time on a delayed kneel.

Not only that, they ended up punting punting giving the other side one more chance... two actually. Block punt and punt return. And Franks has over 30 starts; almost ruined their first conference win in what, 2 years.

And I absolutely love your contribution. I'm stupid so that's why Orgeron screwed up.

You are the fricktard that wants to burn 4 seconds with a freshman QB instead of TDP. But yeah, you still haven't said why that's a good thing. Just that you are smartest retard in an sea of dumbasses. High qualifications there jackhole.

The only thing worse than freshmen QBs is college kickers. If you don't have to rely on them, you don't. If you play the safe numbers the safest is to give the ball to TDP and use their timeout.

You’re still hung up on the idea that all four of the extra seconds had to be burned on one play. They didn’t so it makes the rest of your point moot. The game could have been kneeled out beginning on first down, it’s not really debatable.

I'm not hung up on the seconds at all.

I'm hung up on trust and safety.... with even the slightest chance something can go wrong and you end up punting (as happened to Arky) whether it is 1 second to burn or 39 (1 sec under play clock) you gotta play it safe and trust TDP.

You don't run wide... increases the chances for a holding call and free stoppage.

You don't worry about LBs or anyone not close to the LoS because all you want is the RB to go forward and don't want the exchange busted up.

Rule #2 in football: Handling the ball is handling the game. It's all about who's hands it is in when there's even a remote chance for me.

Like I said, Arky thought they could burn a couple of seconds earlier in the year. Damn near backfired. Orgeron probably saw that. And he had a frosh QB... nothing is a guarantee, TDP was the safe bet in this particular circumstance.

I'd say jackhole retard is too hung up on 4 seconds and that it could have been burnt with kneels. Again, don't care if 4 or 39 or 1 second, the safe bet was TDP until the timeout was gone just in case.

If you’re referring to Arkansas vs Mississippi State there were nearly two minutes on the clock so the situations aren’t even remotely similar. They “trusted” Finley to kneel on the last two plays so playing it safe with TDP wasn’t a factor either.

It was a miscalculation that resulted in an unnecessary running play, nothing more or less.

You never know what’s gonna happen. I was watching a game a few weeks ago (maybe auburn). And they were taking a knee to run out the clock when one of the backs hit a defender, causing a penalty but more importantly stopping the countdown. They had to scramble to try to actually make first down and wound up having to punt with a little time left. Coaches were going ballistic. So I have no problem with a high percentage run to start the countdown clock.

Why not take a knee on first down, then if you have 82 or 83 seconds left, the math would tell you if a run on 2nd or 3rd down would even be necessary.

Hey dumbass there were 84 seconds left and you can’t run a play in 0 seconds.

Even if plays take only 1 second (which they don’t) LSU could have ended the game by kneeling 4 times.

1st down 84 seconds left
2nd down 83 seconds left
3rd down 42 seconds left
4th down 1 second left

LSU in 2019 would have put 7 on the scoreboard to close out 1st half NO doubt. We are just too young and inexperienced. Clock management sucked but at the end of the day that FG was a game winner. If Finley turns it over we probably lose the momentum and the game.

Hey dipshit- if in doubt you don't kneel and risk a punt. It was too close to trust in a freshman QB.

It was in doubt. So run a play. We run them alot. But no, you fricktards would be screaming holy fricking murder if there had beem punt.

You are screaming holy fricking murder and calling people stupid for running a short yardage run. Either way y'all are stupid as frick and suck at risk management at that.

1 fricking run play to make it final and y'all are pissed.

How stupid can you be. Rhetorical question, it's obvious how stupid y'all can be. It's on full display.

Its impressive to watch you continue to get called out by everyone for your exceptional ignorance, and just keep coming back for more. Congrats I guess.

Everyone keeps saying you burn 40 seconds in between each play, you can’t. You have to snap the ball with some time left.
Running one play was the right call...
Either way, it wasn’t this no-brainer horrible decision. It was borderline one way or another and I had no problem with it. Now, if he would have given the ball to Emery, I would have been concerned.
