Boutte’s 16.3 yards per catch ranked among the top 20 in the country and he was on track for similar numbers in 2021 before an ankle injury cut it all short. During his sophomore season, Boutte hauled in 38 catches, nine of which went for touchdowns. That means that just over one in every four catches was a touchdown for the Tigers.

Many of his bread and butter plays come on five and seven-yard slant routes in the middle of the field, where he’s able to create some space in open field and turn on the burners. There’s just a myriad of ways he can beat you which is why he’s thought of as a top 20 draft pick in next year’s draft class.

A full season of health in the SEC could do wonders for his draft stock and he’s working very hard after just recently being cleared to return to on field work. Boutte is 100% and getting plenty of work in with the LSU quarterbacks to rebuild that connection and timing after missing the entirety of spring.

Just get Boutte the balls and let the rest take care of itself.

Elite talent that can do it all! Just needs to continue to put in the work then QBs get him the ball and will have an enjoyable experience watching him light it up this year! Can't wait to see him again!

Even with Ohio State and Bama’s stacked WR corps last year, I thought Boutte was the best receiver in college football. And his stats—crazy good as they were—were still limited by Max Johnson’s weak arm. Like I think he’s Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase walk right into the NFL and be a Pro-Bowler type guy. (With the right QB, obviously).

Or I did. Sounds like he’s bought in, so not worried about that. A little worried about his injury, though—it was pretty damn bad for what he does. Not that he won’t still be great—he’ll still be among the most explosive players in CFB, as this article suggests. I just hope we get to see him at 100% instead of 90 this year. Not sure he’s had time—he may not be fully back at 100 until next year. But I’ll certainly take what we can get. Very excited to see how he and whoever starts at QB work together.

There is a video on YouTube with all of Boutte’s catches last season and the yards after the catch is what makes Boutte elite. He is definitely on par with Chase and Jefferson in that category.

I agree with you.

Go look at his stats from Alabama 2020 to his injury this year

1036 yards, 65 catches 13 TDS in 9 games 6/9 in conference. 8 TDS in 7 games vs O5 teams

Exactly. Someone has to get him the ball. He can’t throw it and catch it..
Thank you and Hello Myles Brennan.

So much NIL talk that when I read the title I thought it said Most Expensive Players in 2022.

Actually, that would be a really interesting article to read now that I think about it.

He does look great. Also, watching those videos make me glad we don't have to watch Max eat the ball any longer. Even when he completed passes, he looked terrible.

Bama definitely doesn't have a wide receiver that is as good as Kayshon in their wide receiver room. In fact, I would put Jack Bech and Malik Nabers up against Alabama's best receivers and I believe they would win.

That means that if Nuss plays like he played in the spring game in the regular season, LSU's offense is going to roll this fall.

Not to mention that LSU's OL is finally supposed to be improved in 2022. Plus, LSU's running back room is also loaded up to the gills.

Indeed, I'm thinking that LSU will be quite a bit better than most people are anticipating.

Thank you and Hello Myles Brennan.

Myles truly has a very good arm, but Nuss, on the other hand, has a truly elite arm. As Nuss made several NFL level throws in the spring game that Brennan can only dream of throwing in his wildest wet dreams.

Not to mention that Nuss is far more mobile and elusive in the pocket and Brennan is a slow moving statue in the pocket almost totally incapable of extending plays with his feet. Meanwhile, Nuss is a hybrid of Patrick Mahomes and Johnny Manziel.

Of course, Brennan has two more games of experience relative to Nuss, but his experience at only one win and two losses against exceedingly shitty competition is not great by any stretch of the imagination.

Meanwhile, what Nuss lacks in game experience, he more than makes up for in talent. Plus, all of his life Nuss has been coached up by his NFL QB coach dad who has imparted all of his knowledge, experience, and wisdom on Nuss and that is astronomically far more valuable relative to Brennan's slightly more but exceedingly lame experience.
