Was not due to LSU being good, it was because Georgia made mistakes.

I just heard this on sec nation.

Oh, and LSU is just average on defense.
(According to them)

UGA did have some pretty bad drops in the 1st half

I'm sure that is what they were talking about

They dropped passes and Fromm kinda sucks. I think they’ve played better of late but it’s been against shite offenses. Shut down OU and every butthole in America will pucker.

UGA definitely did drop the ball (figuratively and literally) on their opening possession. Fromm also missed a few wide open guys in the first few possession. But after than LSU's defense was stout. It reminded me a lot of the 2011 SECCG.

So yes. LSU's defense was good. But UGA's miscues helped as well

Were any of their drops on TD passes? Ours was.

It really is an inane talking point. UGA hasn't been great offensively, but their defense was expected to keep them in the game. There's nothing negative to say about LSUs performance in that game and no excuses to make for UGA losing by 27.

Yes, the score should have been more like 47-20. So?

I have to admit that I was a bit pissed when I saw CBS Sport’s article about why the committee got it wrong in giving us the #1 seed. I thought they’d have our backs since they are the “official “ SEC station.

Right.

But it is a show about the SEC, and there was only 1 SEC game this weekend.

They are going to force inane talking points about a 27 pt blowout

We are number 1. Nothing matters anymore. We don't have to impress anyone. Just win.

There were a few blown coverages but that happens every game. Can the offense capitalize? Good ones will.

Keep it coming. I'm ok with it. We are number 1.

We have not faced a defense like Oklahoma, Clemson or Ohio State yet. Spread the word

LSU defense has all the athletes they need to be a very good defense. They have showed this the past two games after being called out and embarrassed.

In the Georgia game, there were noticeable examples of back side LSU defenders holding their positions in case of play reversals. There were fewer receivers with defenders blowing coverage. In short, much better defensive discipline and adherence to the scheme.

Although, our d line is not dominant, the use of stunts and timely blitzes put more pressure on Fromm than he has received all year.

Our defensive mindset is better and getting used to our fast paced high scoring offense. We just need to maintain discipline, couple with aggression, and tackle well.

Coupled with our dominant offense, our defense can be much more than adequate to take us to the promised land.

Let them keep talking, you see what happened after we dropped to #2 and the blame was put on defensive performance. Aranda opened up the playbook and told them baws to go eat

The difference in the last 2 games and the earlier part of the season is the defense if finally getting healthy (lot of kids playing hurt) and we have played a complete 60 minute defensive game.

We were up 33-13 on Bama at the half. Up 31-7 on OM. Up 56-6 on Arky in the 4th. We are starting to finish teams off down the stretch now.
