After TM's dismissal, the doubters are flaring up like herpes. Particularly media pundits. I don't feel that the loss of TM is as big of a blow as the non-tiger nation believes. I believe that Miles's recruiting excellence will fill the void in coverage. Return game will suffer somewhat, but LSU has athletes that can catch and run fast. We all know that our season hangs in the ability to have at least a threat of a downfield passing threat.. I don't believe people can run on us. We will force a lot of 3rd and longs. No spread offenses this yr. No Oregon. No WV. By the time we face "the best" passing attack in the sec, the secondary will have 11 games to gel. In summary, we still win the SEC. The sky is still up there. What say u?

The media wasnt stupid, they knew HB was a liability. I am not shocked at all by all of this. Actually, I am happy. HB got what he deserved.

Maybe we dont face any spread offenses this year but I'm expecting a competitive match from Washington the 2nd game, although I dont see this as beening all that close on the scoreboard.

Yeah, looking at your post history, you obviously hated TM. I'm on page 2 of your history and I'm seeing thug and other bullshite like that. You must be one of those grumpy arse men who think a little trash talk = thug mentality.

Tell me about the days with them good ole boys, grandpa, when there were classy fellars playing pigskin.

Last year that team needed spark because of the sporadic offense even when JL was running the show. The defense sparked the game summaries by creating turnovers all year.

One would hope this team this year will not need quite as much "priming" to get the scoring engine running. If not the loss of TM7 may be offset some. I think it will be a net zero loss on pass coverage because TM7 made his mark on playmaking in the roaming and blitzing role. It will be interesting to see if th person who takes his place will have a similar year to TM7 last year.

I dont think the return game suffers as much as people are saying. I have a lot of faith in OBJ, plus I have heard a lot of good things about Paul Turner as well.

Teams would of probably kicked away from TM as much as they could, where now they dont know what to expect when it comes to us returning punts.

So we lose a player who has made more defensive and special teams plays in two years than any Tiger has made in an entire career, and we have an idiot fan who is happy about this?? I guess every fan base has idiots...We will ultimately adjust but to think this isn't a big deal you are kidding yourself. Not to mention rest of the team doesn't fed off of the energy TM7 brought to the game...Someone else will have to fill that void quickly

IMO, TM7 is the one player of all of our big time play makers on D (I'm thinking Simon, Reid, Sam, Minter, Logan and Kiki) that we could afford to loose. He wasn't an overly talented cover corner. I think the only place we miss him is in turnovers and a little bit in the return game. Instead of turnovers in most spots we'll just force the team to punt. If this were last season with our shity QB play this would be a horrible lose. I just feel like our TEAM is built differently from last season and that loosing TM7 isn't as much of a blow as many of the "experts" think.

We lose a couple of games with or without him. Still a good season. No rings tho.
