Also I’ve been to Southern’s campus several times & it’s fine, I swear some of you would jump at the sight of your shadow.

Well since one's shadow is black, I think they would based on what I have read in this thread

River center would be a better option.

It will be a very small crowd at best....especially if it's on tv

I have, as well. The campus is fine. The only issue will be traffic. There is only one access road into and out of the campus for football, and traffic gets massively backed up when Southern has a big game. With LSU coming off a national championship, the spring game crowd might get close to Mumford Stadiums capacity of 28,500.

Which would be cool. I may go just bc I’ve never seen a game there.

I just hope their field is in decent shape, would hate to see any injuries. I'm guessing LSU field crew will be able to scout the field out and make any needed repairs in time.

Interesting decision. The attendance from SBR and St. George may be a little sparse

You reckon?? how many vehicle break-ins??
I know one that 100% DEFINITELY wont get broken in to.

now we will see how racist LSU fan base really is!

This.

Its ok for black people to play sports at LSU but not ok to play a spring game 20 minutes away across town at a hometown campus thats safe to some people. South BR can be unsafe as well.

LSU played a few baseball games in the past at Southern with no problems and fans had a great time congregating from both sides.

Thank you. Southern Baseball has been there. Its just plain ignorance man. That's the main reason why the game should be played there. Its plain prejudiced ignorance.

They would be better off playing in Houston or even Shreveport.

IF I were going to go to a Spring game, I would have no problem going watch them at Southern. But I am not going to Houston or Shreveport just to watch a Spring game.

A.W Mum has brand new turf. It was installed in 2017 or 18. I can’t remember. I’ve been to pretty much every stadium in Louisiana and Southern might be the second nicest next to Tulane’s new stadium. It’s way bigger than the directions schools. The only other stadiums I would rather it be in is Independence or Yulman but travel cost would be higher.

I think this is an important event for our community though. Call me a SJW but through all that we’ve been through. I think it would be nice to see the two side of our community come together and enjoy football.

But this is coming from a Redemptorist and Southern Grad so I maybe bias.
