#8 Georgia 13-17
SEC Series Record: 3-7
RPI: 41, SOS: 14

#9 LSU 13-17
SEC Series Record: 5-5
RPI: 22, SOS: 2

With every postseason projection having a minimum of 8 SEC teams in, it’s looking pretty solid that we’re headed to a regional with a win on Tuesday. Didn’t play Georgia this season so this is the de facto 8th place game.

They had us as the 10th seed playing South Carolina but that was before the end of the game was counted.

LSU was already 9 before the end of the game. Only way LSU wasn't going to be 9 was with a loss.

Yeah I saw that. Assuming we got the 10 seed when we clearly at 13-17 have a better record than Bama at 12-17

Those guys were terrible

Wouldn’t be able to tie them.

Bama played one less game so they have one less loss than LSU, so that is why we didn't want to depend on the tiebreaker.

bama and LSU both have 17 SEC losses. Bama has 12 wins and we have 13.

Not that it matters but how does Georgia have the tiebreaker to get the 8 seed over us?

I haven't been impressed with Georgia. I know they have some decent wins but they really aren't all that good, in my opinion. In fact, early on I felt like they were pretty bad.

They've lost their last 4 SEC series.

LSU is playing better of late, just need to keep hitting. And throw Marceaux.

They played a debatably softer conference schedule than us. Super inconsistent. Lost series to auburn and A&M, beat vandy. I would be very confident in winning a series against them. One game I’m not so sure. Hope their starter isn’t a lefty with an accurate curve.

Probably something like record within division.

Good. We need a signature win or two to bolster credentials

At this point in time, what difference does it make? We still have to beat them Tuesday.

Hence the “not that it matters” in my original post. Just curious how they would have that on us with all the other stats mentioned by the op.
