Depends on how UGA-Bama game goes..,
If Bama wins by 15+, LSU probably gets ranked above UGA due to head to head.
If UGA keeps it close, UGA probably gets ranked ahead of LSU.

Here is how the bowls work for SEC Teams and note that the Peach Bowl is not "tied in" to the SEC:
– The top four teams ranked by the College Football Playoff selection committee will be slotted in the semifinals: Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl, both on December 29th, 2018.
– The two winners to play in the College Football Playoff National Championship in Santa Clara, CA – the Bay Area, according to the College Football Playoff – on January 7th, 2019.
– The highest-ranked conference champion from the American Athletic, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West and Sun Belt will automatically get one spot in either the College Football Playoff, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl or PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.
– The Rose Bowl will be the Big Ten vs. Pac-12 no matter what. The champion of each league goes here if not in the College Football Playoff.
– The Sugar Bowl will be the SEC vs. Big 12 no matter what. The champion of each league goes here if not in the College Football Playoff.
– There are no set assigned conferences for the PlayStation Fiesta or Chick-fil-A Peach Bowls. There is no direct ACC tie-in to the Orange Bowl, since it’s a College Football Playoff semifinal.
SEC Bowl Ties, Affiliations
An SEC team will be in the Sugar Bowl vs. the Big 12 – it’ll be the champion if not in the College Football Playoff. There can’t be an SEC team this year in the Rose Bowl.
College Football Playoff Semifinal: If Selected
1. Sugar Bowl vs. Big 12
2. Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl vs. Big Ten or ACC
The SEC will assign teams to the respective bowls in this pool.
– AutoZone Liberty Bowl vs. Big 12
– Belk Bowl vs. ACC
– Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl vs. ACC or Big Ten (most likely the ACC)
– Outback Bowl vs. Big Ten
– TaxSlayer Bowl vs. ACC or Big Ten (most likely the Big Ten)
– Texas Bowl vs. Big 12
Second Tier
– Birmingham Bowl vs. American Athletic
– Independence Bowl vs. ACC

I live in Atlanta. Peach Bowl good.

So who do you think gets in what bowls, barring any surprise game results?
Posted on 11/7/18 at 3:11 pm to TBoy@LSU
If LSU, Oklahoma, Michigan, and Alabama win out, and Notre Dame loses one, that’s probably our matchup.

It seems like the committee has shown little regard for head to head at times, though.
11-2 UGA with losses to Bama and LSU
10-2 LSU with losses to Bama and Florida
As backwards as it seems, I could see them getting the nod.

Except that isn’t backward. UGA will have a better record and higher SOS than LSU in this case. Head-to-head is basically a tiebreaker; they won’t be tied.

Peach Bowl was at the game last Saturday. Sugar and Fiesta was at the UGA game. I saw them in the pressbox. Not that means anything

Look at Auburn last year, they beat UGA and Bama,.........The system is fricked up
Auburn finished the season with 3 losses, including the loss to UGA in the SECCG. They weren't going anywhere.

If Georgia hangs tough, they won't drop much. If Bama takes them out the way they did us, they drop beneath us.
Assuming, of course, that we (and they) otherwise win out. Arky or A&M could royally frick up our season, and Auburn is now a bigtime spoiler for the national seedings. Auburn has the chance to knock the SEC completely out of the equation, unlikely as it may be. They get both Georgia and Bama.
It could be wild...

Yahoo Sports and SBNation both predict Georgia in the Sugar vs. Oklahoma and LSU in the peach playing either UCF or West Virginia.

The playoffs are the best 4 teams, not the most deserving 4 teams. Both SEC teams won and advanced. The least deserving team to make the playoffs won it all. The system worked.

The sugar bowl takes the 2nd best team in the conference this year.
Which is LSU. Yes Bama beat us soundly. We did the same to UGA. Head to head matters and a 2-loss UGA who just got beat by Bama, would be ranked lower than a 2-loss LSU with a head-to-head win that would've just rattled off 3 wins in a row including one at aTm on the road.

I think we're all on the same page; assuming LSU wins out and UGA wins out but loses in the SEC championship game the Sugar takes the higher ranked team. A case can be made for either LSU or UGA at that point.
I'd enjoy watching us thoroughly destroy UCF. I think we'd roll them; our offense would actually look like we're productive against their defense and our D would shut down their finesse offense; a good note to end the season on and close out recruiting.
I think a game against OU would be similar; their D stinks but their offense is incredible. I think our D could hold them in "check"; I don't think they'd score 29 like Bama but I feel better about our offense against UCF than OU so I hope we get UCF in the Fiesta (but most likely Peach) regardless of bowl. Kyler Murray would be a Heisman frontrunner if not for Tua and with Greedy and White preparing for the draft give me UCF.
