No diff than the Miles years, winning masks alot of deficiency.

Yes we are running the score up on teams, no they havent had much luck stopping LSU, but when they play against top defenses that will get slowed down.

A healthy running game is a huge plus, no not ground and pohnd run the ball 75% of the time but a good mix that is moving the ball at will.

Defense also needs to get things together, I believe they will once we get the injuries healed up and hopefully we have no more throughout the year as we see what kind of drop off there is.

Tackling also needs to drastically improve.

I am excited and enjoying the season and offense so far but to pretend there is nothing wrong and every facet of the team is perfect is asinine.

It’s amazing how you can see all this 4 games in.

Tua’s last TD pass with 7:57 left in game. I don’t know Bama’s lineup/roster, but I am guessing since starting qb was in that late in game, so was starting defense. OM is not running Hugh Freeze’s offense. OM moved the ball on Bama all day regardless of what you read in box score.

People seem to forget that these are basically the same defensive players that played against the "elite" teams last year and did well enough. With the exception of Bama all the remaining big games will be at home which is an advantage for the defense.

We lost only Devin White and Greedy from last year's defense and added Chassion to this year's "D" (once he's healthy again). The defense will be just fine once they hit their stride...they already proved it last year!

LSU has been plagued with the "Stink factor" for years...the ability to "frick up" haunts LSU...whomever gets rid of it will be the chosen one and lead LSU to a title....

OP is a classic negativist whom I would recommend therapy. Need to look at the overwhelming positives of this team rather than nitpicking in defensive miscues and running game being a bit less than fornette/guise teams.

Well LSU has a better defense than Alabama right now. AU is in the 70s defensively against the pass. We can outscore UF or AU. Bama and LSU are quite similar. When they both had 4 games, Clyde had more yds rushing than Harris. Problem is, they have a second good back.
Maybe we do too... we'll find out.
I'll tell you this much, we have a better kicker.

Crazy how many of you chicken littles forget that we also just got back Ed Ingram who was a freshman All-American and started every game for us in 2017... our offensive line has played extremely well, and played a lot of bodies. Our biggest weakness on offense just got a massive shot in the arm with him coming back, and coming back in great shape.

I’d like to see our defense healthy before I judge them too harshly. We’ve had a lot of starters out, and those starters are undoubtedly the best in our front 7.

Ikr? Undefeated, top five, elite offense, so let's melt during the bye.

Either pathetic LSU fans or trolls. Either way they're garbage.

Defense is behind Offense, for sure

When's the last time we've said that?

Hopefully we get better as Season goes on.

Funnest first four games

The last three of them would have been a lot funner if the defense had shown more resolve. 38 points vs Vanderbilt? Give.me.a.break.

1) The New Age running game IS the short quick pass. Get it to the best and fastest athletes on the roster, AND in open space. No ones gonna challenge Bama-type 320 pounders. They're going over and around them with the pass game. The only place the run game matters, is in the Red Zone. And LSU excels there.

2) The elite programs running a Spread are GONNA score. Period. You beat them by scoring more points. The days of holding elite Spread programs to 10 points or so, is over. Make more stops than the other guy (4 or 5 should do it)

[and yes, LSU has some fundamentals problems. But those are the easiest to fix when you are Loaded with talent like LSU is.]

How about we let those things actually cost LSU a game before we say that they won’t win because of them?

Yes I know they need to improve but no one on this site can do anything to improve it so enjoy the ride while you can then complain when it cost them because there is a chance that it won’t and you will look back on the year and realize you didn’t enjoy it as much as you could because you were too busy complaining about what might cost them.

No. It was like watching paint dry. I’d dvr the non conf rent a wins and watch them the next day because it was horrible to watch. Presnap penalties, lack of organization, confusing substitutions.....etc.

And show me where I said nothing was wrong. It doesn’t have to be this “swing of the pendulum” one way or the other. The OP was speaking in absolutes....in a negative light....based upon the start of the season...which IS asinine.

If we have the same results (and fun) in the upcoming 4 games, then these posts will stop.
