#Gators will get back-to-back home games in 2017-18 out of the deal with LSU/SEC.
This is horrible. This year is already down the drains so I'd rather get a home game next year, especially with our already brutal road schedule

Sorry for the downvote, it was accident.
I'm wondering about the tickets too.

As a graduate of Jacksonville State and South Alabama I was hoping for a season against both Alma Maters, would have been neat.

We were already going to play 3 games in 13 days.
Yeah against a soft arse S Alabama team. Injuries add up especially in big games.

I'm assuming my S Alabama tickets can be used for this... if so, we just got a SEC game on the cheap.

newflash...LSU just gained an extra home game (for the 2nd straight year). Florida is doing this year what we'll do the next two. Play this game on the road 2 years in a row.
Thank you. It's called a compromise people. Name another school that will have played 10 conference games in their own stadium in 2 years.

How did we gain a home game?
We didn't. We actually lost a home game.

6 ranked teams for remainder of this year. im thinking thats pretty brutal

The schedule next year was already beastly, ya'll. So what if we go to the Swamp next year? Are the Gators scary? Because some of you sound scared of UFail, yo!
Jeremy Foley can $uck it, and I hope he enjoys his retirement. That final tweet was low class, and a perfect example of his definition of professional integrity. None.
This deal preserves a much needed home game for LSU this season, as we head through the final stretch. It's one game at a time. The time is now. Let's GO!

I was getting so excited at the thought of UF coming to Tiger Stadium next season
The build up would have been amazing
Now we lose our rent a win in a weird season and I feel meh

"It was important for us to come to a resolution. Each university had its own set of concerns throughout this process, however existing SEC regulations did not provide an avenue to resolve conflicting issues in a more timely manner," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. "As I have repeatedly said, this game needed to be played. In the end, I want to give credit to the University of Florida for making concessions to move this year's game to Baton Rouge."
Does anyone other than myself find this insulting? That Florida made 'concessions?'

I was thinking the same thing. Will the USA Tix suffice or will we have to buy another ticket?
Posted on 10/13/16 at 4:18 pm to Lsuhoohoo
Newsflash we don't gain an extra home game when 2 home games in 2 years won't be played
Good grief

We will probably have less fans for this game as people may have scheduled weddings / vacations during the "cupcake" S. Alabama game
This is absolutely drooling, helmet-wearing, shite-slinging retarded.

Then we get back to back in UF.
This is basically the only significant downside.

We just got played hard
We got an extra SEC home game. We retain SEC eligibility. FL loses two home games this season. I'm all but certain there will be a provision to get a payoff for the S. AL game cancellation penalty.
How exactly did LSU get played?
Christ, y'all will look for anything to bitch about.

This season is nearly a wash any ways
Why on earth jeopardize an even tougher schedule next year?
Why couldn't they just play this at a neutral location on the same date
I'd rather that if it keeps our home game next season
Jesus you people will bitch about anything
- Games cancelled
THEY CANT CANCEL AN SEC GAME
- Game might be in Florida 11/19
THEY CANT CANCEL A HOME GAME
- Game is at home on 11/19 keeping the SEC game and the home game
OMG WHAT ABOUT NEXT SEASON HOW CAN THEY DO THIS

No, you are reaching. And Florida did make a concession. But it shouldn't have come to this in the first place.
