So the players get a say? The players? No it’s a damn honor and a privilege that the people of the great State of Louisiana offered to give them an education and to play football for them. Further team. In their uniform. I’m sorry, I was raised in that place even with purple jerseys but we always wore yellow helmets. If we start letting spoiled entitled children select what our uniform is, we as a fanbase and boosters may just decide to stop supporting them. So I don’t know if that’s who did it or that idiot Sloan (he had Tech playing in white helmets there too) or if it’s just a lazy equipment manager. But the bottom line is there shouldn’t be a damn choice. The choice was to play for LSU and LSU wears tradition.

It used to be legitimately fun when we’d drop an alternate unexpectedly.

I’m old enough to remember when Gold Purple Gold was an alt uniform.

Prior to the last couple of years, that'd be the uni we wear whenever we played a non-power 5.
