If they can't win in THAT atmosphere, when will they? I mean, I know they'll break the streak sometime, but it's hard to imagine the circumstances given the talent and the atmosphere tonight.

This team will reach the Elite Eight. But having to beat SC, UCLA, UConn, or Texas to get to the Final Four?
I want to believe but objectively that’s not likely to happen.

We already have the best pure shooter in the country in MKW. But I am astounded that throughout her career here we make no effort to set screens for her, get her open, etc.
Just not true
I mean it sort of is…we set ball screens and run pick and roll with her. But we don’t do hardly any action or screens away from the ball which is probably what he’s referencing. Our entire offense is guard based. Either isolation dribble drive and dish or pick and roll based. No true motion. I’m assuming that’s just a Mulkey thing because her teams always look to score paint first, but we just don’t have that kind of personnel right now. Our bigs can’t dominate and one of our PGs has been horrid shooting lately and the other has been wildly turnover prone plus shooting poorly. Leads to clogged paints and not great looks.

Doesn't Mulkey's salary and the amount of money the LSU women's basketball team loses demand more than one Final Four every 5 years?
Top dollar is being spent on this program to get stuffed in a locker before the Final Four every year.

That is what I’m saying. MKW has not proven to be the best player in the country like I thought she’d be at this stage of her career, but hell, just about every shot she takes is contested.
Our “ball movement” does not really get anyone open on the perimeter.

Something that frustrates me about MKW is she stays so methodical and pounds the ball when we’re losing in the 4th quarter. I don’t want her to be go so fast that she’s out of control, but pounding the air out of the ball shortens the game. You shouldn’t be doing that when you’re losing.

Its obvious that the best team/program won the game tonight and for the last 18 times......SEC tourney loss will make 19 and regular season meeting next year will make 20. It is what it is

Missed free throws.
Not guarding No. 5 until it was too late. As 5 said in the postgame, “I was wide open.”

My guess is we don’t see them in the SECT. We should have our usual two seed wrapped up in the NCAA. Kim won’t tank but she’d just as soon get back to BR to rest for the Dance rather than go all out to win the SECT.
We probably lose to someone like Kentucky in the second round of the SECT.

Dawn Staley is WBB's answer to Nick Saban. She's even perfected the same ol' Aflac quack attack.

That's very likely to happen, but I am not sure we will be a 2 seed. Looking more and more like a 3......Don't think we are finish losing regular season games

Kim asked “who can guard Tessa”
One person raised her hand…a freshman
Says a lot about our team

I think we’re safely a two unless we get upset in one of the remaining games we should win easily.
The two challenging games left in the regular season are Ole Miss on the road and Tennessee at home. We should definitely win one and likely both. We drop that game on the road to Ole Miss, win the rest, then win one in the SECT, we are definitely a two.
But either way, Kim is not going all out to win the SECT for some perceived difference in a two and a three seed.

She barely played. Our coach has a short fuse with some players and ignores people who constantly commit turnovers.

An absolute No. The game was on prime time on a top Network during a regular game. When was the last time that happened with MBB?
Doesn't Baseball lose money? If not, they should be.

I love LSU baseball, the atmosphere, and the culture. But yes, face it, 99 percent of sports fans don’t give two shits about NCAA baseball.
Now granted, there’s a ton of things to do in southern California, but UCLA is the number one ranked baseball team right now and they play in a stadium that seats 1200.

You can debate if juice is worth the squeeze and that’s fair. I don’t know the income vs the outcome but there’s no denying she’s an incredible coach. She also has the only LSU National championship in basketball. Her last 3 seasons were national championship, elite 8, elite 8. That’s incredible and I don’t really care about basketball much less women’s basketball.

I don’t think LSU baseball loses money. They probably break even at worst but they are an outlier in college baseball. It’s LSU doesn’t operate in the black then no one does.
