Vandy getting blown out by Ole Miss. Would be nice to pass them up on the 2 seed pecking order.

For those that don't know, Bella and Chavez are friends. They were the two starting guards on their summer team for two years running.

We are just beginning to see flashes of Bella’s ability to shoot the ball. Looking forward to see her progress while she’s at LSU .

It's OK. This game vs USCe will be great training and great practice for LSU, no matter who wins the game.

So the LSU/SC WBB game time overlaps the MBB game, in the PMAC nevertheless. Which game is more watchworthy?

Hines was one, along with Knox, ZJohnson, and Bourrage, who told Mulkey as a group: “We don’t want to play with Chavez. She’s a ball hog.” That’s when LSU stopped recruiting Chavez. Had she come, those four likely go elsewhere.

Maybe I am being too optimistic, but I really hope we can keep this group together.

I think Hines, Johnson and Knox will be back. Bourrage I'm sure has to be a little disappointed with the way this season has gone for her. She was ranked as high as the others as a recruit but only plays mop up minutes and usually looks lost out there.

NO matter what happens Sat/Sun in Greenville, LSU will be the #2 seed in UConn's regional in Fort Worth.

Why? There are 4 places a #2 seed can go...behind UConn, UCLA, Carolina, or Texas.

(a) Carolina and Texas are OUT as they do not want to put 2 teams from the same conference as #1 and #2 in the same regional.

(b) UCLA is OUT as we were in the same regional as UCLA for the past 2 years.

Even if we beat Carolina and Texas I still think we will be #2 behind UConn. We should NOT have lost those first two SEC games (UK and @Vandy) PLUS we do not have as many Q1 wins as Carolina and Texas to move ahead of either one.

Won't be a factor in how the NCAA seeds us.

Bourrage is behind two All Americans. If she can trust the process and work hard like Jada she has a chance to get in the rotation next year. Bella was in kind of the same situation but she embraced defense and forged her way into a nice role. We are also starting to see the scoring ability of a player with
3, 000 points in high school.
