I'm so fricking happy right now.

And we always play UK tough at home. If we could win that game or at least split the next two, we'll have great momentum for conference play.

You beat me to it. Aranda called Johnny this morning and gave him some tips.

Defense has played well ever since Victor and Hornsby returned. They outplayed Wake and lost, but now they've fully jelled.

The game could have been a much bigger blowout. Every sloppy runner Vandy threw up in the 2nd half went in, and they played defense so high that LSU made them look like LSU from 3 weeks ago. Underneath was open all night.

Simmons did what I hoped he would and aggressively drove into the paint, drawing fouls and scoring, taking Vandy to him and putting their key players in foul trouble. Hopefully, he can maintain his FT percentage. Best game of the season.

Not that I was ever doubtful. I ain't peej.

And yet, I was downvoted.

Yeah, super clutch from Simmons at the FT line. He may not have a jumper at all, but if he can make FTs then that's great because he'll get the calls if he is aggressive like that.

And I hoped Victor and Hornsby would turn this team around. Time will tell if it's permanent but it's certainly a pretty good start. Hope fricking Blakeney can figure something out. We need him to play/shoot well.

I have the biggest mancrush on Hornsby. It's ridiculous.

+1

One of the best I've seen here. Such a fighter. Totally exemplifies the effort I love to see from our guys.

I want to see more plays where Hornsby picks and rolls, when Simmons has the ball.

Great effort. Until last game, I thought we were soft. No this team played tough.
Simmons played possessed tonight. Hornsby is the glue. But we have to start shooting better.
Blakney struggled with his shot but played his arse off on the defensive end. TQ also.
And I really think Victor brings toughness this team needs.
Huge Win and glad to say I was wrong.

Great W. They played really hard on D and were aggressive going to the goal. I hope they can keep playing aggressive like that.

You weren't wrong about them playing soft. They were. Hornsby said it as well. The good thing is that a group of guys can dig deep and do something about it. Glad they did tonight and they can see a positive result from that effort.
