ANd SC beat that team by a combined up and down the field in consecutive years by a combined score of about 300-20.
That team? No.
Both times for some reason McFadden had limited involvement compared to his traditional application, either from an injury or it being his first college level game.

Ah, so this thread is about LSU vs. South carolina? Stupid me.
no. this thread is about LSU. it linked a website that wrote an article about LSU playing usc.
how exactly does that make this a thread about usc. should we just completely disregard any article that mentions LSU simply because it also mentions usc?
seriously you are stupid.

That's ridiculous
All it takes is a mere mention of USC 2003 AP NC and poof, the thread becomes 10 pages long. Yeah, not a care in the world about USC's NC in 03. Keep fooling yourself.

I think he means limited production for "some reason" and that "some reason" would be USC.

That's with a very capable Felix Jones and a bruising Peyton Hillis in the backfield. Arky couldn't run because they couldn't pass. USC just dominated them after that. Too one dimensional. And even when Casey Dick did play QB for them that season he sucked arse.

i think his broken toe might have had something to do with it
at least try to be somewhat objective if you're gonna post on another team's board

Yes, this is the first thread ever that mentions or speaks negatively of USC.
You must be a new member and have not been privy to the disproportionate number of USC topics (99% negative) here. Even die hard purple and golders would admit it.

McFadden DID play.
I was talking about '05. He did play. I think he returned a kick off...that's it. He went out with a toe injury I think. It doesn't matter. 70-14 was an impressive beating anyway.

I was not going by yards, because yards gains adds more variables like the one you discussed.
I was going by carries. He was given the ball against USC less than half the times he was given in the LSU game.
He was not able to be used 100% for your game due to a minor practice injury the week prior. End of story.
I guess they were just going easy for ya then. Not a injury at all.

Nope...actually I really don't care that LSU didn't get the AP trophy. Seriously.
No, I'm serious. I don't care.

That kinda proves my point....even with a injury he was their best RB. Arkansas won or loss games on the fricking mood of McFadden the prior week. You guys did not face the same team as us as a result.
Not taking away USC's job of blowing them out. I am simply attempting to eliminate the LSU comparison. Transitive property does not work in football.

Neither does giving up 17 pts in the 4th quarter to Stanford's back up QB!!

i simply mentioned that there was not one thread about usc on the first page of this message board. and one of yall said i was crazy.
this thread is not about usc. neither was the thread about pac10 and SEC.

I dont know if this has been brought up or not, I didnt read the 7 pages, But how the F**k if USC was to win the NC this year, weither it be Over LSU or another weak big 10 team, How Does that make them them the Dynasty of the decade. If my math is correct, they would only have TWO BCS trophies, not 3. Same as LSU. That BS paper championship that the AP gave them in 03 before LSU and Ok even played does not mean anything. I dont care who says what, The BCS was invented to crown the college football champion and all coaches, Including onepete agreed to it. I dont think it is the best system ever invented but it is what decides the national champion. Im sure if USC does win it this year, they will be considered the "best team of all time " again. Maybe ol petey will break out the USC 123 stickers to put back on there helment. Everyone talks about this 03 AP championship and it was a "Disputed NC that year between LSU and USC because of the AP/BCS, But if you want to get down and dirty, every year is disputed because some team always feels left out. In 98, Tulane was un beaten and they felt they should have gotten to play Tenn. 04 AUB, 06 LSU,(but didnt cry about it or even mention it) 07 Georga, USC, Kansas. and im sure all of the above teams mentioned were #1 is some poll at seasons end which to me is the same as USC being #1 in the AP in 03. The AP can crown any team it wants as a NC just as the Rotary club can crown who ever it wants as a NC. It has no revelance because the BCS CROWNS THE NATIONAL. CHAMPION. I guess no matter what LSU does this year short of a NC, All of it acomplishments in the past years will be overshadowed by USCs' media Dynasty

Guess how many times Ar-Kansas lined up in the Wildcat formation that game. Go ahead, I'll wait. I believe it was zero. I don't think it had yet been implemented by Ar-Kansas. Don't you think that is a pretty big variable for your games against the Fightin Nutts? If LSU played a gimped McFadden last year, they destroy that team. Look at what Auburn did to Ar-Kansas with a gimped McFadden.
The bottomline is that you caught them without their whole offense for that year with a Heisman candidate who was severely limited. LSU was unlucky in that they went almost exclusively to the Wildcat against us. Not even the same team.
/USC wins over Ar-Kansas as being equivalent.

quote:this is pure BS. I visit the usc boards for a laugh from time to time and they almost have daily LSU/SEC bashing threads. In fact, it might be worse on the other side, they just dont have a forum that gets visited as much as this one.
Certainly more hatred from LSU fans. You simply don't see this many threads about LSU on SC boards

I would agree with that. WeareSC does have about the same number of members, but activity sucks compared to this site.
Bottom of first page for WeareSC football page (with a quarter of it being devoted to stickies goes to 11:30 AM.)
Bottom of first page of the Rant goes to all of an hour and a half ago. And despite that dramatic reduction in activity, the USC boards has only about half of the opposing school/conference references compared to TD. ~ 5 times less activity, but only half as many references compared to TD.
Yeah, USC fans really don't care about LSU.

Also, wasnt the AR-Kansas starting quarterback out that game against USC along with Mcfaddens Toe. ? They will say that makes no difrence except for when it is USC when they play stanford

How many of these topics were created/diverted/fanned by USC fans? TigerDroppings has been exceedingly liberal in allowing opposing fans to post here. If you try the same thing on a USC message board, chances are you will be banned.
USC only won approximately 2/3 of the AP votes after the 2003 season. If they can claim one component of the BCS championship, LSU can claim 1/3 of the AP title for that year. It was a split AP Title.
“I thought they were really good,” Arizona’s Clay Hart said about USC after the Trojans beat the Wildcats 45-0 Saturday. “But personally, I think LSU was the best team we’ve faced since I’ve been a Wildcat.”
LSU pounded Arizona 59-13 the second game of the season.
