The NCAA/ESPN certainly did Stony no favors. Short turnaround for a team that threw their ace last Friday & again tonight for 100+ pitches

Somebody had to get that slot...

And look at it this way, if the series happens to go to game 3, at least it will be on Sunday afternoon instead of Monday afternoon and the place will be certainly packed on Sunday if that happens.

There are sadly too many posters who will throw their hands up and say "it's business," just like with the Alabama football contract kerfuffle from last year, but nobody in their right mind can think that having LSU play at 11am is somehow going to be a positive development for the sport of college baseball.

I mean, really, what's even the argument here--that if LSU plays at night it will take away all the ratings from other games? That's complete bullshite. There are extremely few people that are going to be watching college baseball on television all day from 11am to 11pm at night. Get real.

Look at the bright side(really). Finally the left field bleachers will have to deal with the sun in their eyes.

LSU alone is most popular team left in the tournament.

they shouldnt have been that somebody, despite their opponent

Stony Brook wont travel. Friday will not be capacity like it would at any other time slot. They did LSU no favors.

They got one of the late-night time slots because they are on the west coast. They were going to get one of those slots no matter what the match up was.

Arizona and UF are also playing 11am or Noon games as well.

I've been out all night. This is the only good news I've heard in the last 20 minutes.

ESPN doesn't give a rats arse how LSU fans will feel.

The fact of the matter is
1)Stony Brook is NOT a big time name.
2)UCLA and Arizona are on the west coast so they're not getting that early time slot.
3)Florida St. vs Stanford is clearly the prime time game on the right side of the bracket

This is how it goes, you can either complain that LSU got a tough opponent or tough time slot.

To college baseball fans, who are going to watch no matter what.

To casual people scrolling through the TV Guide...no.

Does the NCAA really have the balls to rule the Tigers ineligible for the CWS if they refuse to play at 11 AM, and play at 7 PM instead? I doubt it.

I'm hoping this was a joke because considering SB would show up for 11 it would go down as a forfeit from LSU
