My friend is the strength coach for Purdue baseball and was an assist strength coach for Purdue football last year. We went to their Nebraska game this year and the big Michigan St. upset last year. Against Nebraska in October they won but they could not cover Trey Palmer. He had like 250 receiving yards and 3-4 td’s. Their passing game is good, a lot of short and intermediate routes. Their run game was ok. Our recovers should be a big problem for their defense and I don’t see them running it for much against us. Will come down to how our secondary plays and how much pressure we can get. Their qb isn’t a bad athlete but isn’t a runner either

I can live with that ... there is of course room for more improvement but we did a great job this year! Geaux Tigers!

Boutte opts out "....safe to say more than him, and those draft eligible will be told by their agents to skip the bowl / practice to avoid injury. Hopefully not as bad as last year but no way will LSU have a full roster. Hoping Purdue has the same issue.

This is where a dynamic QB like Nuss could work over their inadequate secondary. On the other hand Purdue could take advantage of an LSU secondary which was exposed mercilessly by Georgia last night. I know Purdue is not Georgia, but they'll rack up yards and points.

Considering everything, this is by far the best bowl game we could have gotten. Stop whining. Better than outback or gator bowl
