Ohio state was supposed to dismantle that team. I feel there is the same sense of confidence by the media to believe this narrative again. This is not the normal LSU team and OSU has faced no one similar to us yet.

Ohio State 2007 backed in to that game just as much as LSU did.

Better comparison would be Ohio state in 2006. This is what kick started the dominance of the SEC the next decade

The outcome of the championship game was exact opposite of what was suppose to happen

Ohio state was on the opposite end vs Miami

Pretty sure we were favored. Maybe you’re thinking of Oklahoma 2003?

Ohio State had no business being in that game. So many things happened at the end of the year for them to get in, as a Buckeye fan I wasn't confident at all. Tressel later said that Beanie Wells was the most talented person on the field and LSU had the next 15 talented players.

But what does a game from 2007 have any bearing on this year? This Buckeye team is light years more talented than that team.

Oklahoma 2003 was the best team in the history of college football. Then reality struck them...

If LSU’s DL puts another showing vs UGA like they did vs a&m I will feel real confident moving forward.

This is not Jim Tressel's Ohio State filled with a bunch of Ohio kids.

This Buckeye team is loaded.... LINK

Also, Ohio State didn't really belong in the 2007 game. I was happy to get the bid, but we seriously backed into it moving from 7 to 1 in the final 2 weeks or so. Missouri and West Virginia losing in the final week was wild.

I do remember talk of Ohio State the greatest of all time that season.

I also remember talk of Oklahoma in 2003 as potentially the greatest of all time.

I wouldn’t want to play our offense in a controlled environment during the playoffs. Burrow is an assassin and the timing of our offense is unparalleled.

Also, our defense is getting stronger. It’s going to be a wild finish.

Wrong year. It was the year before that some people were saying Ohio State might be an all time team.
