The other good news (potentially) when reading that schedule is seeing Bama & A&M already scheduled in the traditional afternoon CBS time slot. If that's true (and can't be moved by CBS) then that leaves the the LSU & Bama as a real option for their annual prime-time game in Death Valley! Am i missing any other game that might be more attractive to CBS for the prime time slot (on that date or otherwise)?

LSU-Bama was decided (unofficially) before the season. They pick that weekend already knowing which game they're gonna go with, complete implosion of teams seasons notwithstanding. in 2012 they actually even announced officially it would be LSU-Bama before the season.

I think 2000 LSU MSU kicked off at like 8:45pm. LSU Fresno St kicked off at like 9:30pm but that was because of a rain delay.

Just goes to show you how preseason projections can change quickly. I never would have thought A&M/Bama would be a bigger matchup than OM/LSU. I'm not complaining though. Night game in late Oct. I'll take it!
